    Stuff occurs yet again!

    Dana woke up early the next morning with her arms around Alice in a tight embrace, and wouldn’t have moved for anything in the world. She glanced at the alarm clock and sighed when she saw that they’d only gotten a couple hours of sleep after reconnecting all night, but to be honest she didn’t really feel too bad. Of course, she realized that the nutrients pumped into her bloodstream the day before had something to do with that, but she tried to push logic away and believe it had been all Alice’s doing.

    Which, when she really thought about it, she supposed it had been. While she knew Alice’s proposal had been on impulse, and while she still felt like they were moving a bit fast with it, she knew it had been an honest expression of what Alice was feeling. And her response the night before had been the same thing.

    Laying there with her forehead pressed against the back of Alice’s shoulder, breathing in her scent, she allowed herself to really think about what it all meant. She’d wanted to make this relationship different, since all the others she’d had had wound up moving very fast. Well, with the exception of Lara, and even that had been a bit faster than she would have liked. It had just been more about her coming out than it had been their relationship.

    Even with Stephanie, she’d moved fast. And while she’d never said “I love you,” to anyone else aside from Alice, she could admit that the pattern of moving quickly had continued. With Tonya, of course, it hadn’t all been on her, but she was a willing participant at the time whatever the circumstances were.

    This thing with Alice, though…she hadn’t wanted to spoil it by moving too fast. That was probably the main reason she hadn’t acted on her attraction sooner, although she had been honest when she said that it was more because of Alice being so happily out and proud while she was in and…not proud, or something. But even after they’d gotten together, she’d been trying so hard not to fall too fast and lose the most important person in her life that it had shocked her when it was Alice who’d started to fall.

    4. So, this is where sensible people run off and compose their thoughts before leaving a rambling comment…but I’m not sensible. I literally took a big deep breath before I started reading in anticipation of Dana’s results…I’m feeling a little short of air here! This chapter was great. It was sweet and tender and romantic and well just great basically. What nonsense you talk about not being good at this when you’re amazing at it. Is it greedy to ask for more already?

    5. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE…This is wierd but I had a feeling Dana has always had a ring for Alice…LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! MT you totally deserved accolades for your writing, but you should know you are #1 in my book!!!! You Rock!!!

    6. Another excellent chapter, MT! Sorry to hear you were blocked. But, if this is how you write when you have that problem, then maybe it’s a good thing! This was such a sweet chapter. And, again, the communication between the two is amazing. I love that fact that both girls are starting to think of the future. It’s interesting that it took another health scare to get them to think beyond the limitations of Dana’s health — if that makes sense. I absolutely adore Dana’s proposal. Just perfect — so Dana. BTW: I need me a Dana alarm clock. Does Brookstone carry those? ;-D Thanks, MT!!

    7. me likey…. No. More like I LOVE it! I really miss Dana and Alice together, i thought I’d survive by turning around but I just can’t. Now I feel shamed of why I even thought about it. :( Forgive me please my fellow Danish….ers? ees? Anyway, I just wanted to say tat I missed Danish and thank you cos through fan fiction, I can still have that ya know? You’re an awesome writer MT. thanks I hope Dane is gonna be okay
