The two women sat in silence for awhile and then Bette began to speak.

Bette: Tee I’ve been thinking about something and I hope you want laugh.

“Okay,” Tina said looking intently at Bette.

Bette: Wait, this is the part where you say I would never laugh at you.

Tina: Okay

“Babe you’re not making this any easier,” Bette said.

Tina laughed earnestly.

“Okay, okay what’s going on in that pretty little head of yours, Tina said winking at Bette.

Bette: Will you be serious.

Tina could see by Bette’s serious look that whatever she wanted to discuss was important to her so she decided to be serious.

Tina: B you can tell me anything and I will love and support you all the way, okay.

“Okay,” Bette said pausing.

Tina waited patiently for Bette to spit it out.

Bette: Well I’ve been thinking that when the babies are at least three months old I would like to join Platura’s detective unit.

Tina: Okay

Bette: Well that wasn’t exactly the response I was looking for.

Tina: Can I ask a question?

Bette raised her hands toward Tina for her to speak.

Tina: Why do you want to work when you don’t need to? I mean your royalty right?

Bette put her head down. She had been finally caught. She plan to tell Tina about her royal heritage but never seem to find the right time.

Bette: Tee I plan to tell you but it never seem to be the right time. Besides I thought it might turn you off with the fuss and all. Can I ask how you found out?

“For one your mother’s home but the dead give away, the staff at the hospital calling me your heiness. And when I asked why they were calling me your heiness one of the staff stated I was married to the queen’s daughter. Imagine my shock, Tina said amber eyes staring intently at Bette.

Bette had trouble looking into Tina’s eyes. When Tina got angry her eyes let her know.

“I’m so sorry, I hope you can forgive me for not telling you,” Bette said putting her face in her hands.

Tina pausing: You’re forgiven. Just promise me we want start off this marriage keeping secrets. And for the record I think it’s kind of sexy being married to royalty.

Bette looked in Tina’s eyes and gave her the biggest smile.

Bette: You do?

“Yeah,” Tina said giving Bette the most sexiness smile.

Bette could feel her heartbeat quicken at the site of Tina’s smile. She wanted to ravish Tina right then and there. Sometimes she wandered how the simpliest gestures or words from Tina could make her lose all reason.

Bette moved closer to Tina puckering her lips. She closed her eyes when she got halve way to Tina’s lips but Tina put a finger on Bette’s lips stopping her.

Tina: Since that’s settled tell me about this detective job.
