    Xfiles/LWord Crossover: Agents of Change

Monica knew that life would go on.  Powerful people had ruled these lands with iron fists.  Prophecies spoke of a time when they would leave, and the ones who had once ruled would take their place.  These words followed Monica as she lived in the underground.

The winds brought change, every day, and no one—not the FBI, the President himself, nor any of the bit players who tried in vain to battle their tyranny—could stop the tide.

They still found her, though, as she expected.  Monica left her friends in an effort to protect their work at least to some limited degree.

So Monica accepted the job in Los Angeles, knowing that her enemies simply wanted to keep her close by.  She would chase their phantoms, file their cases, and fudge evidence if anything remotely approaching the need for a criminal prosecution floated into her sights. She would not take part in the imprisonment of citizens, and she would use the FBI’s money—with their knowledge, ironically enough—to fund the very causes they sought to snuff out.

It was a fucking joke, really. The FBI knew everything.  Her new name hid nothing—they gave it to her.

Amelia, the FBI’s pet, their silly little pawn.

The FBI allowed things they might have tried to destroy years ago, to continue.  They knew that so long as the oppressed felt their eyes, their potential wrath, they would never take the resistance ‘too far’.  Monica Reyes was living proof that one could find out the secrets of the Empire, and yet never make a dent in their armor.  Only time could do that.  And their time was fucking running out.

Fixed identity aside, Monica’s attempts at a new life, new relationships, were always stymied by the memory of one person.  That person lived somewhere in Ecuador, in a small hut, in a mountainous region unpopulated by the US police, army or government—for now.  The armies which often moved beneath the iron fist of the United States, had thus far left Dana Scully and her husband, Fox Mulder, blissfully alone.

What Monica didn’t know, was that Fox had already taken his leave of Dana, yet again.

    1. Jesus! Not only does this have the makings of a 3-way for a sex romp, it’s also a 3-way fusion of TV shows (cause you know Lucy will always live in our hearts as Xena)! I read this after a trip to the grocery so I could sympathize with Scully’s burden. No spuds in my bags however and I would have been more than happy to accept Ms. Lawless’s help with my bags. I guess deep voices don’t scare me as much as they do Scully for some reason.

    2. Oh yes, hb! Amelia and Bette…absolutely! Soon, I hope! Then all three, and then just with Bette again and then..Bette again..ok ok ok I will stop now, but you get my drift!

    3. YES YES YES!! …and what was that I said? Write it and they will read. HEE HEE. I think grabbing hold of DarkHawk to add a thing or two would be a fabulous idea! I can ONLY imagine with you two. Thanks for getting this together so quick! You shocked me girl. I am emailing my friend now to let her know it is HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!!! : -))) “And with that, Amelia walked quickly toward her future, and knocked on Bette Porter’s door.” YOU END IT THERE???

    4. :) I hope you post soon! I’m curious to see what happens. It took me a few minutes to place myself at the beginning because I haven’t seen the X-files in so long lol. Anyways I’m hooked .. continue on!
