“Well they have an application to fill out but I thought maybe we could also send pictures of the art work and maybe even a video of a class.”  Dr. Roberts said.

Jennifer thought for a moment then replied, “I think that would be a great idea.  Let me get a camera and I will start working on that today.  What type of letter needs to be filed and who is this organization anyway?”

Dr. Roberts smiled.   She loved the way Jennifer was so interested in the center.  She only wished Jennifer could remember who she was and find her identity.  Oh well.  “The organization is the Peabody Foundation and yes, there needs to be a letter describing the center and how the money will be used.  Do you want to work on that too or should I?”

Jennifer smiled and said, “Let me handle that too.  You know how I love to talk about the art center.  I will run it all by you before we send it off.”

Jennifer was true to her word and obviously she had experience in all of this because Dr. Roberts was blown away by her presentation.  They sent it off to the Peabody Foundation but never really expected to hear anything else because they were just a little center why would this foundation even give them a second look.

So, they were both very surprised when they learned that Peggy Peabody the chairman of the foundation was coming personally to bring the grant and tour the center.  They were told that she had a great love for art and had been very impressed with the art of the children.  This was such a great opportunity for these young artists.  Little did they know but Peggy’s visit would bring with it Jennifer’s true identity. 

The center prepared for the arrival of Ms. Peabody.  They had painted special banners and Jennifer had arranged for an exhibition of all the artwork of the young artist in her classes.  The children were beside themselves and so happy to see their art work displayed.  Dr. Roberts had even insisted that Jennifer display some of her work as well.  Who knows maybe she could have a future as an artist.  Ms. Peabody would surely know.  Dr. Roberts had taken the liberty to include photos of Jennifer’s art work with the grant packet.  In hopes that Ms. Peabody might find them good enough to possibly pass them on to her contacts in the art world.  Little did the good doctor know but that was the real reason for Peggy’s visit.
