“Can we go out at some point and pick out something for you? I, for the same reasons you want me to wear your ring would like you to wear mine or is that a little too traditional for you?”
“Babe, tradition went out the window when we were apart. I want to whole nine yards with you. Yes, we can go out and pick out something and I will wear it with pride happily knowing that I am yours.”
We fell into each other’s arms kissing one another until we both realized that we had a bed that we could comfortably move to. We jumped in the shower and actually just took a shower. It was nearing 3am and we both felt the emotions of the evening quickly catching up with us. We made it to the bed and wrapped ourselves in each other’s arms. We whispered our love to one another and held tightly. It was the most wonderful feeling laying there with my fiancée wrapped tightly in my arms in the home that we share.
Tina
Last night was the most wonderful night in my entire life…with the exception of the birth of Angie. Everything that Bette did to make our time in Vegas was priceless. Upon arriving home despite my fears of her reaction to moving back in and proposing to her, she wanted both and was excited once she got over the shock. I’m so glad that we have a direction to focus on taking our relationship and I know that it was good already but now, it is limitless. Waking up before Bette and before the alarm just gave me time to look at her. Her beauty of course is undeniable but she’s so much more than that. She in the past was an enigma of sorts. She was so structured and so standoffish to most people that it was hard unless you were in her inner circle to know Bette. Even within her inner circle, she was not one to express her emotions. Last night that was not the same Bette. Bette always has something to say and she couldn’t formulate words because she actually allowed her emotions to surface rather than squash them. This Bette is someone that I want to see more. I want to know what she’s feeling and what she’s thinking. I don’t want to know because she is so angry she is on the verge of an explosion. Her happiness and her sadness are things I want to experience with her. In as much as I had thought of proposing to her in front of others, I am so glad that it was privately done between us. Bette was able to be Bette because I believe she has finally reached the pinnacle of trust in me to know that I will be there to pick her up if and when she needs me to be.

What an amazing chapter! So many beautiful moments…And so many remarkable spots to speak of…But I’ll restrain myself…My favorite line, I think, was: “I want to know what she’s feeling and what she’s thinking.” To me, that’s a picture of love…wanting to embrace the all of it. Forgiveness is a truly marvelous thing. Not sure I’m making any sense…but…Wonderfully deep storytelling. Thanks, nagster :)

What a wonderful chapter Newage. Having them loving one another so deeply after everything they’ve been through is truly wonderful. Now let’s see what the parents will do, although I think they have learned their lesson and will not be able to find enough ways to be nice and sweet to everyone and besides Angie will talk their heads off after she gets used to them, about a day probably. PPS

Yes!!! Glad Bette managed to mumble that word out after recovering from her state of shock. It’s the only apt respone to Tina’s heartfelt proposal. Sooo happy for these two. Loved the gleam in Tina’s eyes when she looked around Dean Porter’s office. I have a feeling they’ll eventually do the deed there; it’s only a matter of time. *wink* If they can make it at the backseat of a cab, they can certainly make it anywhere! Loved the adorable motormouth Angie who must have gotten that trait from Alice through osmosis. Is this the calm before the probable awkward, stormy visit of Tina’s folks? Let’s see how that reunion will play out. Btw, I hope you’re not done with the envelopes yet. There’s so much more about their storied past that I want to find out like when did they decide to live together? What and where was their first love nest?
