    Window of Opportunity ch. 44

She got out of the car and walked over to open my door. I still had my slippers on since I had been in heels earlier in the evening and I helped her grab some of the bags before we headed toward the door. She unlocked it and I walked in before her, put the bag down and went straight to the guest room. Alice had left everything arranged perfectly.  I took the tray and went back out to the living room where Bette stood still holding the bags with tears pouring down her cheeks. I put the tray down and walked over to her. I took the bags out of her hands and looked at her wiping the tears away with my kisses. She slowly had a smile and pulled me tightly into her.

“How did you pull this off? Are you sure? Oh my God, I can’t believe it.”

What Bette didn’t know was while we were traipsing off to Vegas, Alice and a crew of some very highly paid movers was moving Angie and my belongings back into our home. Although we had not talked very seriously about the particulars in regards to moving in together, we had discussed which of my items we wanted to incorporate into our house and which of the ones already there we wanted to discard. Other than Angie’s clothes and toys, none of her furniture was brought over. The bedroom set I used was moved into the guest room and my clothes were also there until Bette decided to consolidate some clothes and share the closet. My DVD collection was there in a case that had been mounted on the wall to look less like furniture. Since I had taken a lot of the kitchen items, they were returned to their rightful places. Looking around for the first time, Alice did a marvelous job. I still needed to go to the apartment make sure that the things left there were all items for donation but on Tuesday, after Bette and I spoke, I had spent a couple hours packing up the things I really wanted to come here.

“Is it ok? Alice got some movers together and they moved the items. I wanted to surprise you but then when I thought about it, I realized that I may have overstepped it.”

    1. I’ll just take Tina Bette can keep the ring, Love how the love they have for each other just keeps getting bigger and better. If Tina had given her a billion dollars.she would be happy, now she has her “T” and Angie under one roof. thanks

    2. Newagegirl you absolutely ROCK! I just finished posting my comments on the last post and I see this one…2 in the same day…you didn’t make us wait for the 2nd half of the date. You are brilliant…a masterful genius the way you write. I swear I feel every emotion they do in this story. I am totally floored (thud!).

    3. Just read the last three chapters and loved every page! This story just gets better and better. What a date! I love your B&T and would love to see Ilene take a lesson or two from you for Season 6. Just perfect.

    4. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh! ABSOLUTELY, UTTERLY, FREAKIN’ LOVELY! I haven’t stopped squealing yet…and I’m misty eyed… I thought you’ve set the bar high with the last chapter. But this one has even topped part one. Like Bette, I got weak in the knees and totally floored by Tina’s proposal. GOD, I HEART THESE TWO TO BITS AND I HEART THIS STORY TO PIECES… Thaaaaaaank you, thaaaaaaank you, newagegirl! Let me give you a big, *cyberhug*. You’ve made this hopeless romantic absolutely, utterly, freakin’ happy today! :D

    5. A couple of things I forgot to mention… I’m glad the cab driver in the Portuguese wine flashback didn’t get distracted by the rockin’ backseat show that Bette & Tina put up. And Gina and the pilot must have had sheepish smiles plastered on their faces when the loved up couple disembarked. Btw, that’s a unique, fiery, loud but quite brief entry into the Mile High Club logbook. Geez, they were literally on cloud 9. Lastly, Bette humming along to Celine Dion sappy ballads totally cracked me up. Nothing short of ridiculous!!! *Cyber bear hug part 2* THANK YOU, newagegirl!!! :)

    6. WOWOWOWOWOW tina can surely top any date!!! what an incredible night!! I always though tina should ask bette, since bette asked the first time and tina didn’t want to give in… but this is amazing!!! i think just moving back in without the proposal knocked bette off her feet!!!hats off to alice for pulling this off without blabbing it,lol!!! like the song says “oh what a night…. :)

    7. Newagegirl, so sorry I’ve not been able to read this week until this morning. Work, eewww!, it always gets in the way of things you want to do. Anyway, just finished reading the chapter for this week and loved them. The way you write these two and their love for each other is so beautiful as are they. Happy that Tina made the move back home I know they will continue to have a happy and loving home for themselves and Angie. I would have given anything to be able to see Celine in concert. That was a fantastic thing for Bette to do for her. Keep them happy, and loving each other and Angel. PPS

    8. Wow, Newy! I’m so glad I checked before turning in. I’m speechless. OK, I’m not. This just keeps getting better. I love the humor you are also incorporating – I had to LOL at Tina’s passion for Bette coming in 2nd to her desire for Booby Flay’s dinner. Shoney’s! I had to Google that, having lived in SoCal for all my years in the US, but coming from Alice I knew it had to be funny & yes – LOL! As for the rest of the evening – I don’t know how you can top this, but have no doubt you will. A perfect evening to give them strength…and now…I feel the dramatic counterpoint coming on…Thank you – I’m so enjoying this!

    9. Hi :) I have been catching up reading this story and all i can say…it´s amazing and you are an amazing writer..keep going, looking forward for your next post…

    10. Ya know NAG, with dates like that expectations are going to be high. lol that looks kinda funny, anyway I ment for the next chapter. Just because I haven’t commented dosen’t mean I haven’t read, lappy is off to the repair shop and the desk top & the geek squad just relieved me of most of last weeks pay. I’ll be waiting here for more. Thank you. Md
