Looking down at her desk she sees a few hand written notes that the staff have left since she left earlier. One is from an employee requesting two days off next week. Pulling out her calendar she makes a note of the requested dates. The other is a note with a message from one of her suppliers. Putting it back so she will see it tomorrow she moves to the third which is from Alice saying she will meet her at the grand opening and reminding her this was something important for Bette so be they were all meeting by her mural and not to be late.
Kit had to smile at the way all Bette’s friends looked out for her these days. It hasn’t always been that way. There was a period of time when all of them blamed Bette for Tina’s absence. Tina getting up and leaving left a huge hole in the fabric of their tight knit family. It took years for all the hard feelings and little jibes to stop. They stopped for good when Bette told them all she was sick. Any lingering hard feelings disappeared like smoke in a good wind. Any one who considered themselves Bette’s friend rallied to Bette’s side. Now everyone looked for ways to be there for Bette. It gave them all a purpose that tied them together creating a tight knit family.
Coming back to the present and looking around, nothing else seems out of order so she heads back out to the café area. As she makes her way out she looks around again, the house is full and all her customers look to have food on their tables and are enjoying their meals. She was just about to turn and look for her sound guy when she notices someone new yet familiar. It’s a girl who she knows she’s seen before but can’t quite put a name to her. Kit was just about to walk over and talk to her when she feels Julie grab her elbow.
“The sound guy is here and he needs you.” Julie says while pulling on Kit’s arm.
Kit looks at Julie, “Well its about time he got here. Tell him I’m coming.”
Before she turns away to find her sound guy she looks again at the stranger, the girl has turned away from Kit so she couldn’t see all of her face but she recognizes one of Shane’s kids sitting with her. Kit is still looking at the profile view, she’s so familiar …
“Kit are you coming.”
Kit turns in Julie’s direction, “Yeah … yeah” but still turns back one more time trying to get a better look.

I really enjoyed the chapter. Frankie reminded me a little bit of Shane. :) Her and Angelica are very cute together. I really like Frankie because she’s very concerned about Angelica and her well-being. Ooooh, this is going to get interesting. Kit noticed a familiarity in Angelica and I can’t wait for these two ladies to talk. Great chapter and PPS!

Angie lucked out when she met Frankie and she is also lucky that Frankie is one of Shane’s kids, therefore one of Bette’s kids also. Angie must look enough like Tina for Kit to get this feeling that she looks familar.

Ange needs Bette now; hell she doesn’t know who she is at the most important time of her life; so my friend sort out her identity and are u hinting her sexual identity may need sorting also; adolescence is so hard. as usual a great read.

Hello JWet, Thank you for another wonderful post. Good to see thta Frankie was there for Angelica. Ready to help out and offer her some real advice. The net is tightening as Kit has now witnessed her “Niece” in the Planet. Wonder when 1 and 1 will make 2??? Amazing to think that everything Frankie has been through she is able and willing to offer a hand. Perhaps this is the miracle of the Kids Shelter. Give them a place to stay and sound advice and hope that they pay it forward in life. I do hope you come back to use soon and post more of this awesome adventure I am just wondering if Tina has the courage to come to LA and visit the gang again. I am sure that with their contacts they can find Angelica quickly. Mind you that may raise more questions than answers. i a ready for any eventuality you care to share.
