Kit was besieged by her help the moment she walked into the door. For once she had left the club in the hands of her night manager, Julie and by the looks of things she was wondering if it was a mistake. She left early for a change to be on hand for Shane and Bette’s big opening. Upon her return, she could tell before she ever got out of her car that it was a hoppin night. All the parking spots in the parking lot and up and down the street were full including the one with her name on it. Double parking behind some jackass in an M3, she was already a little out of sorts before she ever got inside.
“Kit am so I glad you came back.” Julie gets out the moment she spots Kit walking through the door. “I’m having a problem with the sound system. It keeps feeding back and cutting out so the band won’t go on.”
Kit looks at Julie and just shakes her head. For such a smart girl she couldn’t believe she can’t handle all the little things that crop up. That’s all part of running a bar. “Did you call the sound guy?”
“Sound guy?? NO we have a sound guy?” Julie now asks confused.
“UHHHA you know the guy I always have run the sound check before the band goes on. He’s the number I gave you before I left to remind him to be here.” Kit says with an air of ‘I can’t believe you didn’t do that’.
“Oh” Julies says blankly knowing she’s screwed up.
“Oh Honey let me take care of this.” Kit concedes moving towards her office. Before she leaves the floor Kit gives the place a quick look over and notices that all the seats are full but that’s about all the time she took.
Once seated behind her desk, it only took Kit about ten minutes to locate her sound guy and tell him to get his ass in here pronto. She still couldn’t believe he hadn’t come by on his own. When he had everything squared with the sound system and was all finished up she was going to give that boy a piece of her mind. She doubted if it would do any good but at least she would feel better.

I really enjoyed the chapter. Frankie reminded me a little bit of Shane. :) Her and Angelica are very cute together. I really like Frankie because she’s very concerned about Angelica and her well-being. Ooooh, this is going to get interesting. Kit noticed a familiarity in Angelica and I can’t wait for these two ladies to talk. Great chapter and PPS!

Angie lucked out when she met Frankie and she is also lucky that Frankie is one of Shane’s kids, therefore one of Bette’s kids also. Angie must look enough like Tina for Kit to get this feeling that she looks familar.

Ange needs Bette now; hell she doesn’t know who she is at the most important time of her life; so my friend sort out her identity and are u hinting her sexual identity may need sorting also; adolescence is so hard. as usual a great read.

Hello JWet, Thank you for another wonderful post. Good to see thta Frankie was there for Angelica. Ready to help out and offer her some real advice. The net is tightening as Kit has now witnessed her “Niece” in the Planet. Wonder when 1 and 1 will make 2??? Amazing to think that everything Frankie has been through she is able and willing to offer a hand. Perhaps this is the miracle of the Kids Shelter. Give them a place to stay and sound advice and hope that they pay it forward in life. I do hope you come back to use soon and post more of this awesome adventure I am just wondering if Tina has the courage to come to LA and visit the gang again. I am sure that with their contacts they can find Angelica quickly. Mind you that may raise more questions than answers. i a ready for any eventuality you care to share.
