Peggy: What has you running from L.A.? I have never known you to turn down a great business proposition. I would of course help you find someone to run your little gallery in Florida.

At this point Bette just wanting to confide in someone who can be impartial, tells Peggy the whole story starting with Provocations and how she had cheated on Tina thus ruining her whole life and Tinas. She then tells her all about how she tried to get Tina to forgive her and in the end opted to just extricate herself from Tinas life and move across the country giving Tina the space that she needed and giving herself the easy way out. Talking to Peggy seemed to help Bette thinks things through clearly, like she had never done before. After Bette told Peggy about meeting Jaime today and seeing Tinas beautiful daughter Beth; Bette asked Peggy a very personal question.

Bette: What do you think I should do? she says looking like a child asking her mother for advice. Should I just go on and pretend that I never saw Beth today? Should I just go on and stuff all of these feelings in a box and throw them out to sea, like I do with everything else.

Peggy is listening to everything Bette is saying; and is so surprised that the confident almost to a fault Bette Porter is actually very child like and insecure. Peggy is wondering how with all of the love she sees in Bettes eyes for this Tina Kennard she can stay away from this one woman for so long when it is obvious all that she wants is to be with her. So she decides to give her some advice that her mother had given to her when she was a young woman.

Peggy: If god put what you want right in front of you, and you deny his gift then you deny what is yours. Do you understand what I am saying to you?

Bette (Thinking): Ok, well what the ***** does that mean. As she just nods yes with a smile plastered on her face.

Peggy: It means you were given this gift to get your family back, which is obvious to me what you want; do not deny yourself them. If you want to be in this childs life, then be in it. She says knowing that Bette finally hears what she is saying.

Bette asks Peggy if she can have a couple of days to give her a decision, which Peggy agrees to. Bette stands up and shakes Peggys hand telling her thank you for everything and walking out of the doors. Bette gets in her car and starts her drive over to The Planet she wants to know everything about Beth and she is hoping that Kit will tell her and hopefully she will see the girls because she really does want to be in their lives she is just afraid that they will all hate her for leaving all of those years ago. Bette is the most worried about Shane, she knows Shane was always close with Tina; and after seeing her last night and the hate in her eyes she is afraid that she has ruined her friendship with her altogether. Bette gets to The Planet and straightens herself out before opening the doors. When she opens the door she automatically sees the girls sitting at their usual table; she stops and wonders if this is the right thing to do, and as she starts to chicken out and turn around to walk out the door she hears it.

Alice: Holy *****! Bette ***** Porter is that you, and if it is you better get your sorry ***** over here or I am going to kick it.

Bette turns back around with a slight look of caution and starts to walk towards the table. As she is walking she is noticing the few strangers sitting at the table, and a few of the old ones who are looking at her like she is a stranger.
