    When New and Old Collide: Chapter 7

    Previously:

    Jaime wants to be able to have all of Tinas attention while asking her to move in with her and for her hand in marriage. And for some reason she thinks that if Tina knows that Bette is in L.A. things wont go as she is hoping that they will. Jaime knows that Tina loves her, but she can also see in Tinas eyes that Tina still loves another and she can only suspect that its Bette Porter; after all Tina still thinks of Beth as hers and Bettes even though Bette has never been there. As Jaime is thinking all of this she is getting more and more upset. She has been the one that has been there for Bethy since she was one and a half.

    Tina: Ok, well let us get out of here then. She says happy to be getting away from her thoughts of Bette Porter.

    Bette was walking into The Peabody Foundation with a little less pep in her step than usual. The whole drive over all she could think about was that beautiful little girl Bethy; and the fact that Tina had obviously been pregnant with her when they were still a couple. Bette waited outside of Peggys office for a few minutes until she was asked in.

    Peggy: Why Bette Porter, it is so good to see you. She says giving Bette one of those Hollywood hugs and fake air kisses. I am so glad you have decided to join me.

    Bette: Hi Peggy, thanks for inviting me out here. I am still not sure why you asked me here though. She says just wanting to know what Peggy wants so she can get out of here.

    Peggy: Well actually Bette I have a gallery that I am opening up here on the west coast and I was wondering if you would do me the honor of co-owning it with me. she says watching Bettes reaction closely. It would actually be your gallery, I would just fund it.

    Bette: I am so honored Peggy but I am not sure that I want to live in L.A. again. A lot of things have happened here that I would just assume forget. She says looking down at the floor. Plus I have my own gallery in Florida that is doing very well and I dont think I could leave it with someone else.
