“Tina come on all the hot ones will be snapped up before I even get there”

“Ok…OK I’m coming woman I’m sure there will be at least one desperate female willing to untwist you knickers”

I grab my purse and join her as she is heading out of the apartment.

“Wow Tina have I ever told you I have a thing for hot little blondes”

“Not in your wildest Dane, lets go before I change my mind”

Dana and I had been best friends all through high school, I was the first person she confided in when she struggled to come to terms with her growing attraction towards girls in fact I’m sure I was the only person she had confided in. We separated when I left to attend USC and Dana went to the International Tennis Academy in Florida. We phoned each other constantly and spent as many vacations together as possible. After college she decided to settle in LA and it was logical for us to share an apartment. She was on tour for large parts of the year and although I missed her I was also thankful for the alone time.

We would tease each other endlessly regarding our preferred sexual partners but they where few and far between for both of us. She was my best friend and we would tell each other everything.

When we saunter into The Planet we are both surprised to see that it is half empty.

“I guess word got out that you were coming Dana huh”

“Funny Tina”, she gives my ribs a quick dig. “We might as well stay for one now we’re here”

“Sure just a water for me, I’ll go get us a table”

I spot an empty table at the rear and I take a seat with my back up against the wall.

I notice Dana talking with a blonde girl at the bar and after a few minutes drinks in hand they both make their way towards me.

“Hey Tina this is Alice, you don’t mind if she joins us for a while she is just waiting for her friend”

“No course not, hi Alice”

Dana takes a seat next to me and Alice sits opposite Dana.
