    A Family Gathering At The Planet . . .

     

    I laughed too. I didnt know what I was laughing at, I just did. Why are old people so sensitive about their age? Its weird.

     

    Whats taking them so long aunt Kit? They should be here by now, where are they?

     

    Theyll be here baby girl, dont you worry. Theyre just running a little behind schedule thats all.

     

    I think aunt Kit knew why they were late, she just wasnt letting on. She didnt want to talk about it for some reason.

     

    They were always late whenever I stayed out and they had to come pick me up. Maybe they just found it hard to get out of bed when I wasnt around? Who knows? Adults are really weird.

     

    Aunt Kit had closed the Planet for the morning so we could celebrate moms birthday in private. Just me, my aunt Kit, and my moms. We were having a birthday breakfast.

    Thats if they ever get here. Otherwise we will be having a birthday lunch.

     

    I was dying for them to get here. I so wanted to give mom her present. I knew shed love it.

     

    Mom had also got a big surprise for mom. Well it was a surprise from both of us really, but mostly from mom. Even aunt Kit didnt know about this, no one did. It was just mine and moms secret.

     

    I was sat with my elbows resting on the table staring in to space when my parents finally decided to make an entrance.

     

    I dont know what made me say it, I should know by now. Shouldnt I ?

     

    Its about bloody time. Well it just came out.

     

    I think they both felt guilty for being late because they didnt ground me they just both shouted out my name, together in a stern voice.

     

    ELLIE.

     

    I just grinned and said Sorry. Which caused them both to shake their heads.

    They both took a seat either side of me, I gave mom a kiss for her birthday, and I gave my other mom a kiss, well, just because.
