To Live Without You (Chapter 17)

“What about the match? It’s in two hours.” Victoria turned and glared at the athlete her expression disappointed and confused.

“Figure it out Dana…I don’t even care anymore.”

    ****

Alice sat on her couch watching some preliminaries that covered Dana’s match, she still wanted to watch it and since she had the time, the writer figured why not. Alice sat on the couch watching Victoria’s interview with Chuck Hill, the writer’s eyebrows high.

“Yeah they’re definitely sleeping together,” Alice mumbled aloud. There was a knock at the door, but the writer honestly didn’t know who it was. Alice had cut off all ties from her friends for the past few days; she was tired, angry and needing a break from the pressure.

Shane tapped on the door again, peering through the peephole.

“Alice, I know you’re in there I can hear the television.” The writer waited a moment before saying anything, she wasn’t really in the mood to talk about Dana she just wanted to watch the athlete on TV. The hairdresser tapped again, leaning her head against the door,

“Come on Al, please open the door,” Shane’s muffled voice came through the door and Alice took a step back, and raising her voice a little.

“I don’t want to talk right now Shane, I just need to relax.” Alice replied, the hairdresser thought for a moment, she knew Alice was still upset and wanted to give the writer her space but it had been a few days and Shane was missing Alice’s company.

“I’m not trying to talk Al, just want to hang out, come on….I’ve got tequila.” Shane sang shaking the bottle loudly, the door cracked open Alice’s hand reached out.

“Gimme…” Alice said quickly opening her hand for the bottle, Shane held just out of the writer’s grasp.

“Are you gonna let me in?” The hairdresser said, laughing to herself, knowing the writer was going to eventually let her in. Alice cracked the door a little wider to see Shane’s other hand, she chuckled letting the hairdresser through the door.

“You can come in, but you would have gotten in faster if you had a couple of limes in the other hand.”

    1. You know I love this story and the fact that you’re writing it makes me smile so big. Whoever demanded the story must be very lucky, lol. I was worried with Cliff’s words to Alice cause they were so heartfelt and I can see her being a pushover. I know she cares about him but there is only one person she is really meant to be with. Go Victoria.. I love her backbone! It was about time to kick Dana to the curb for her bad behavior and to give her that wakeup call. I guess Alice is quick to forgive Shane.. although I’m not sure I could be the same way. I don’t have to tell you how much I enjoyed the Gena/Vic moment… it was steamy, lol. I hope you have more planned for them. And I hope Alice and Dana are going to have a hell of a reunion… or is that me wishing too hard? I’ll hope for the best cause I trust you, CD.. and hope is all I have right now. I’ll be waiting patiently for the next chapter… but if you make me wait too long I’ll be on you, lol.

    2. sooooooooooo glad your back on the writting wagon! That’s great becuase you write them so well. This chap was so great so emotional i kinda feel bad for clif lol BUT poor Dana! plzzz post soon! :)

    3. Hey, it was good to see an update. This story is going along really well, congratulations. As for Soul Singing, I’m trying my hardest to get the next chapter finished.

    4. I absolutely love this story, so glad to see that you posted again soon. I think you’re an amazing writer and i can’t wait to continue the story! Thanks for the update, Go Danish!

    5. *sigh* I’m content until you update again. I freaking LOVE this story! I feel bad for Cliff, but I mean please, Danish are just meant to be! :-) Great job, and I’m glad that you’re updating more frequently. Writers block sucks, I know, so I hope it’s leaving you alone!

    6. Hi, im really lovin this story, very emotional. Glad shane is with alice right now, she needs a friend and poor cliff and dana. keep it up and hopefully no more writers block hey. thanks.

    7. Whoo-freaking-hoo! I love this story. It’s one of my favorites. It went by so fast though! LOL Keep it up and post soon. Glad to hear that your writers block is getting better :D Seriously, great chapter!

    8. Like I said before, I thought the conversation with Cliff was realistic. An I loved the remark Victoria made. :D And I agree with you, the conversation with Shane needed to be a funny one. There will be enough to think and talk about for Alice and Dana. I’m glad Gena convinced Victoria to be there for Dana. Dana can really use a good friend right now. Will Alice find out that Dana has a drugproblem? I wonder how she will react… But I’m still praying for a happy ending (Victora is already out of the picture as a love interest, Cliff will be next…and then only one thing can happen). :D
