Tina: “Well I am more assertive than I was, and you aren’t the only one that has been in therapy, I’ve had plenty. The first two years you were gone it saved me. I found me again, I’m much less serious, more assertive and I can be down right aggressive.”
Bette laughed.
Bette: “I hope I will see that side of the new you..soon.”
Tina laughed this time.
Tina: “You will, we have to get you healed first. Good things come to those who wait.”
Bette: “You are still a tease; you are going to make me suffer aren’t you?”
Tina: “Oh yeah, just like the first time.”
They got into talking and walking down memory lane. Remembering the first courtship. Tina being straight and Bette being so sweet and thoughtful of her feelings. They talked of escapades they had gotten into with the “gang”. Soon Bette was starting to get uncomfortable and the pain was getting to her.
Tina: “Let me get you your pills and let’s get you into bed so you can rest for awhile.”
Bette: “Yeah, I’m sorry but I am really starting to hurt.”
They made their way to the bedroom. Tina gave her the pain pill and water.
Bette lay back on the bed and Tina sat beside her.
Bette: “You can lay beside me if you want?”
Tina: “I’m going to go make some calls and clean up the kitchen. I’ll be here if you need me just call out and I’ll come running.”
Bette: “Can you stay with me until I fall asleep?”
Tina: “Yes baby I will.”
She stroke her cheek and her hair, it always relaxed Bette when she did that. With in minutes Bette was asleep. Tina kissed her forehead and went out to the kitchen.
She called the grocery and gave them a list of things to deliver. She called her assistant Jaime and checked on things at the office. She called
The phone was ringing every time she put it down. First was Kit checking on Bette, then the gang called one by one. Sawyer called and Tina ask her to join them for dinner that night. She wanted to thank her again for saving Bette.

Certainly hope that Bette and Claire will NOT give Tina anything to be jealous of. Bette never seems to relize that her actions sometimes makes Tina jealous of the other woman. Leave them in peace and together, please. Let Claire see that her affections are not needed by Bette.
Clair coming to America – oh no. No, no…on second thought, oh yes. It’ll be interesting too see how Tina will handle this. Thanks for posting.

This was so nice, Tina taking care of Bette. The kissing, the sitting between Tina’s legs, discussing the past, slowly heading towards the future. Claire’s coming. Somehow I don’t think we need to worry, she knows how Bette feels about Tina, and the new and improved Tina, I got a feeling she’ll be playing for keeps.

Claire seems so understanding whenever she and Bette are on the phone talking; and she seems to want the best for Bette, even if the best is having Tina back. Will she still seem so understanding once she finally arrives to L.A.?

It seems that they are already headed in the same direction, with the same intentions. Sarah gave them their first boost, now with Claire coming into town, I’m sure Tina’s going to want to reclaim her wife, to eliminate any others from trying to put in a claim. It’d be nice if Tina and Claire could become friends. Post again, soon, please.
Dear Goldfish, your “talking and walking down memory lane” chapter full me of tender but melancholic feelings, I must say… A melancholy that my alltime favorite writer so rightly called “the happiness to be sad”. I’ll try to express that emphasizing three of your lines here :

Here’s a line I particularly love… Perhaps because dreams are a topic for which I have a special weakness.
A superb line – and one to be remembered… I will.

That’s a way to think I fully relate to ! Memories for the future, that’s beautiful… Some timeless pieces of past, forever living in our mind and heart, polished by emotions…
And your chapter is fulfilled with heady power of memories, slowly surrounding the present, beginning to create a strong future : the “addiction” never stopped, in fact, and was so ready to live again – like glowing embers…
The way Tina remembers the sweetness and passion of their past love through one single shared kiss; the way they so naturally sit together like they were accustomed to do; the way Tina strokes Bette’s hair like she was doing before…

Finally, past and present literally mixed here, through Tina and Claire’s first conversation. It was so nice to see the two women who truly love Bette Porter sharing a similar way to be, “meeting” with such gentleness… Well, I don’t know if it would be possible, but I really wish they could become friends : no doubt they have a lot of things in common – and here I don’t speak about Bette.
Well, I always liked a lot your character of Claire from the very beginning – above all because I can fully relate with her – and so I’m delighted to know she will come in LA very soon.
