Tina noticed the subtle change in the atmosphere. She looked up at Bette as Bette kissed her hand. Tina noticed a small bruise on her face that wasn’t there yesterday.
Bette: “Thank you for taking care of me”
Tina: “I am so sorry this happened.”
Bette: “Tina I want you to stop blaming yourself. You had no idea Sarah was a psychopath. This isn’t your fault. So no more talk like that. Ok?”
Tina: “Ok”
Bette: “Besides I was hoping we could enjoy this time together, talk, and share some things that have happened in the last five years.”
Tina: “I’d like that. Let me dry this and get the bandages.”
Tina dried the wounds carefully and wrapped them both well with a bandage.
Tina: “Ok, I’ll go get you some clean clothes, wait here. She came back with a set of comfy clothes for Bette.
Tina: “I’ll go get our breakfast ready, I’ll come back to help you when you’ve changed.
Bette: “Wait, T. Could you come here a minute?”
Tina walked and stood closer to Bette.
Tina: “Sure, can I help you with something?”
Bette: “No, I’m good I just wanted to do this first.”
Bette reached up and cradled Tina’s face with her hand; she brought her lips down to meet Tina’s. She didn’t push she just let them rest there for a minute, letting the feel of Tina’s lips take her away. Tina being careful not to be to aggressive, pulled Bette to her and kissed her back. The kiss was the kind dreams are made of. Soft yet firm, slow but ending too soon. They looked at each other as they retreated from one another.
Bette: “I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to thank you properly.” She smiled at Tina.
Tina: “I wasn’t exactly running from you, and taking care of you is my pleasure. Now get dressed and we can eat.”
Tina left her and went to the kitchen. She had to stop to think. Damn that kiss was amazing; she had to get a drink of water to calm herself. Sitting there washing Bette’s leg and then the kiss. Her mind was thinking of all the memories of Bette’s touch and kisses. She immediately started thinking of the memories they were going to make in the future. Sarah didn’t know it but she had done them a favor, pushing them together sooner than anticipated.

Certainly hope that Bette and Claire will NOT give Tina anything to be jealous of. Bette never seems to relize that her actions sometimes makes Tina jealous of the other woman. Leave them in peace and together, please. Let Claire see that her affections are not needed by Bette.
Clair coming to America – oh no. No, no…on second thought, oh yes. It’ll be interesting too see how Tina will handle this. Thanks for posting.

This was so nice, Tina taking care of Bette. The kissing, the sitting between Tina’s legs, discussing the past, slowly heading towards the future. Claire’s coming. Somehow I don’t think we need to worry, she knows how Bette feels about Tina, and the new and improved Tina, I got a feeling she’ll be playing for keeps.

Claire seems so understanding whenever she and Bette are on the phone talking; and she seems to want the best for Bette, even if the best is having Tina back. Will she still seem so understanding once she finally arrives to L.A.?

It seems that they are already headed in the same direction, with the same intentions. Sarah gave them their first boost, now with Claire coming into town, I’m sure Tina’s going to want to reclaim her wife, to eliminate any others from trying to put in a claim. It’d be nice if Tina and Claire could become friends. Post again, soon, please.
Dear Goldfish, your “talking and walking down memory lane” chapter full me of tender but melancholic feelings, I must say… A melancholy that my alltime favorite writer so rightly called “the happiness to be sad”. I’ll try to express that emphasizing three of your lines here :

That’s a way to think I fully relate to ! Memories for the future, that’s beautiful… Some timeless pieces of past, forever living in our mind and heart, polished by emotions…
And your chapter is fulfilled with heady power of memories, slowly surrounding the present, beginning to create a strong future : the “addiction” never stopped, in fact, and was so ready to live again – like glowing embers…
The way Tina remembers the sweetness and passion of their past love through one single shared kiss; the way they so naturally sit together like they were accustomed to do; the way Tina strokes Bette’s hair like she was doing before…

Finally, past and present literally mixed here, through Tina and Claire’s first conversation. It was so nice to see the two women who truly love Bette Porter sharing a similar way to be, “meeting” with such gentleness… Well, I don’t know if it would be possible, but I really wish they could become friends : no doubt they have a lot of things in common – and here I don’t speak about Bette.
Well, I always liked a lot your character of Claire from the very beginning – above all because I can fully relate with her – and so I’m delighted to know she will come in LA very soon.
