    This is my version of how Tina should have reacted when Adele tried to kick her off the set!

    Tina arrived at the set feeling both excited and a deep sense of pride. When this whole project started she didn’t think she would ever get to this place, but after two months of shooting, she believed that out of Jenny’s warped imagination, had come a movie worth seeing. A movie that will erase the lines that created margins…break down so many barriers for both lesbians and women in general. Even though she still struggled to wrap her head around it every once in a while…Jenny really had pulled it off.

    As Tina confidently moved around all the equipment and wires making her way towards “Karina’s house” where they were shooting the last scene of the movie, her mind went back to the stunt Adele pulled a few days before. That fucking bitch!! Tina was beyond furious that Aaron had given in to Adele’s demands and threats and removed Jenny from the movie that she had written and directed. Especially after agreeing with Tina, even though it was somewhat reluctantly, that Jenny really did have talent and after a shaky start had actually done a great job.

    There was so much about the movie business that she loved, but something like this only reinforced the belief that this industry can, on a whim, chew up the truly talented and spit them out, for no other reason that an extra dollar or two. The sad part…and the part that made her the most angry was that they, being Aaron and Nikki’s managers truly thought they were saving the film, saving the reputation of the studio, and saving Nikki’s career by not having that video of Jenny and Nikki made public. What they didn’t understand was that if Adele did post it to the Internet…

    “Hey Tina,” Sam smiled interrupting the blonde’s musings.

    “Sam…how’s everything going?”

    As Tina and Sam talked about a few last minute details, neither noticed the glare coming at them from the newly appointed Director, or the conversation she was having with Kathy, one of the production assistants.

    “Your crew has done a great job Sam.”

    “Thanks Tina, that means a lot coming from you.” Sam reached out and rubbed Tina’s arm before turning back to her equipment.

    In the mean time Kathy had walked up and was nervously waiting her turn to talk to her boss.

    17. Wow, I bet no one will $### with you. The only thing that would have been better is Adele making a threatening move towards Tina and Tina laying her out and the police hauling her off. I hate devious people and usually couldn’t keep my cool long enough to mentally power through in an intelligent way rather than plow through like a tornado or wild fire wind. Love your writing and if I ever get backed into a corner again I am coming to you for advice.

    18. Sea, that was great and I would have loved to see Tina do this on the show. Alpha Tina at her best and I for one would have loved to see Tina deck Adele when she gave that shitty little smirk after turning her back and lighting a cigarette, and especially that pregnant pause before offering up the line about the movie being on budget and on time. Tina should have hit her so hard that it would have lifted the little bit– off her feet. Anywho, loved your rendition of how it should have been. Teriffically AWESOME. Hope this continues for another couple chapters. You have not lost anything in three mos, as if you could.
