The girl laughs and says "Beautiful face!" Four other girls approach, and one of them takes the girl by the arm, repeating, "Sweetheart, we have to go in." The girl apologizes to Shane and goes into the bar. Shane stays there thinking they must be new to the city because she’s never seen them before – she’s never seen four such pretty girls. She lights another cigarette.

The band is ready to play. Christian’s at the table and he can’t stop fidgeting. Carmen asks, "Is there something the matter with you?"

Christian: "No, nothing’s wrong. Look, it seems like they’re finally going to play."

One of the band members speaks into the microphone "Good evening. Before we start to play, I’d like to tell you the reason we’re here. A friend of mine met this girl a few months ago and fell in love with her at first sight." All the people in the bar let out an "Ahhhh!!"

"Yeah, this friend said that when he saw her, he felt like he’d gotten run over by a truck, and when she smiled at him, the world no longer existed and nothing else mattered… He didn’t know what to say because she was soooo perfect."

All the girls look at each other, and Carmen says: "I think I already know that story."

Alice says, "I think all we know it."

The band member continues: "And since that day, everything in his life changed… his life wasn’t the only thing that interested him anymore; he lived to make this girl give him a chance. And it wasn’t at all easy, no! nooo! no!! She had been hurt, and I think you know how difficult it is to fix a broken heart."

All the people nod their heads. "The first thing my friend did was to become her best friend. He said it was the worst torture… but it was the only way to keep on seeing her. A few weeks later, my friend couldn’t take it anymore. He called me and said "I give up, my friend. Do you know how much I suffer having to hold back my desire to kiss her every time she’s close to me? Or every time she hugs me and says I’m her best friend… I can’t take it anymore."
