Tibette, the final story “Run Away To Me”
Both Bette and Tina are relaxed and happy.
Bette: It was really nice of the owner to let us use the cottage for the weekend.
Tina gives Bette a secretive smile as they enter the house.
They enter and the shots are now in a lovely and cozy living room. A happy Birthday Bette sign is on the sofa and ribbons are scattered about. The camera shows Bette looking around and shows her viewing pictures of her, Tina and Angie and all their friends and family. There is a big fire place with pictures on the mantle. Then it zooms in on a legal looking document on the coffee table. It is the deed to the cottage with Bette and Tina’s name on it.
The realization that they own the cottage hits Bette and she turns tear filled happy and in love eyes on Tina. Tina walks over to Bette with a gentle smile on her face.
Tina: (soft and gentle in a semi-whisper Happy birthday baby. They kiss and in the background you can hear car horns honking. Bette and Tina walk outside to the porch with smiles.
The camera switches to outside of the cabin, Cars and SUV’s and Mini-vans are driving down the driveway. It shows them parking and people piling out of them. Kit and Angie get out of Kit’s car and walk to the porch.
Tina takes Angie from Kit and kisses her. Bette enfolds both Tina and Angie in her arms.
The camera switches from the porch to a new shot.
It is late afternoon and the entire cast of the L word is shown in the grassy field next to the cottage. There are tables and chairs set up haphazardly. There is bowls and platters of food and drinking glasses on some of the tables. On one table is a giant birthday cake for Bette. The cast groups together. There is a nice looking camera on a pedestal. The idea is that a picture of the whole group will be taken. Alice is holding Dana’s picture.
Instead of cheese the entire group yells out, “Family”
The L word Theme song by Betty now starts.
End
A note from Nancy Pofahl
The camera angles portrayed are extremely rudimentary. I don’t know the first thing about camera angles. All shots are at the discretion of the director. You know, people who know what they’re doing,.
I have no experience in script writing but was compelled to write this because I really like the show and because I am insane to think I could. I love a challenge.
