After a restless nights sleep Tina hauled herself out of bed so that she could get ready for lunch with Kate. She was aware that after spending a lot of time with her assistant when they first arrived in London she had neglected her for the last week and therefore wanted to make it up to her by buying lunch. Tina, however, also had an ulterior motive. She knew that if she were to call Shane then Bette would end up being on the first plane out of LA tonight given Shane’s enthusiasm for them to put their relationship right. What she needed was some impartial advice and the only person she could think of asking was Kate.
They had agreed to meet at the restaurant as Kate was still trying to see as many of London’s attractions as possible. Kate was already there when Tina arrived and as she sat down Kate greeted her with a smile
“Hey boss, and to what do I owe this pleasure?”
“I thought that maybe you were feeing a little abandoned and I wanted to put that right.”
“And?” prompted Kate
“And I need to ask your advice about something.”
“Something being a euphemism for Bette.”
“How do you do that?” said Tina exasperated.
“What?”
“See right through me. You shouldn’t be able to that.”
“I can’t. See right through you, that is. It’s just thatwell even though you would probably not care to admit it but your life still revolves around Bette. I mean you moved five thousand miles to get away from her, that’s extreme in anyone’s language and I know you don’t need my advice about the job so what else would there be?”
“OK, I give in, it is about Bette. I’m really sorry Kate. I know you could probably do without this but I don’t feel like I can talk to anyone at home. They all know Bette and I know they want us to get back together. I just need someone who’s going to be objective.”
“Tina, there’s no such thing as objective when love’s involved.”
Tina was about to reply when the waiter appeared to take their order. After doing so Tina’s eyes scanned the restaurant trying to think of something to say to refute Kate’s assertion of subjectivity. When it was obvious that nothing was coming to mind she decided to tackle another tricky subject.

well city girl… i just read all of your chapters… and i loved every word… why couldn’t the show go this route… and i hope she invites bette to see her… now where are you going to put bette… in the same room as tina… will bette book her own room and let tina make up her mind as to where she spends her nights… because they will be together all night.. if its only to talk… ok…oh i just hate how you left us hanging… so type woman… thanks and please continue
