Alice: Hey guys!

Bette: Hey, how are you feeling?

Alice: I’m doing well, considering. How are you?

Bette: We’re good.

They all gave Alice a hug before sitting down in their chairs. The table went: Shane, Carmen, Bette, Tina, Jenny, Helena, Kit (who had joined them after seeing the rest walk in), Dana, then Alice in her wheelchair.

Tina: So, what did you want us here for, Al?

Helena: Yeah, I’m missing out on catching up on Coronation Street for this.

Alice: Coronation Street?

Helena: It’s a TV Soap in Britain. We used to watch it all the time.

Alice: Ah, alright.

Alice looked at Dana as she had suddenly become nervous. Dana noticed the look on Alice’s face and reached down to grab her hand. Their fingers entwined immediately and the gesture didn’t go unnoticed by their friends.

Dana: So, the reason we asked you here is because…

Alice: Dana and I…

Dana: We…

Alice: We’re erm…

Shane: Oh fuck it. Guys they’re together, as in a couple.

They were met with congratulation’s from all their friends. They were basically expecting Alice and Dana to get together at some point, and they were so glad they were both finally happy. They spent the rest of the afternoon in The Planet talking about Alice and Dana, then Shane and Carmen.

Alice: So, how did you two meet? You never said on the phone.

Shane: Well, I went to the club after leaving Danas and I saw her standing over at the bar after a while. As you know, I’m not shy when approaching other girls. I basically made a complete ass of myself.

Dana: What happened?

Carmen: She walked up to me, and I turned round after feeling someone tap me on the shoulder. She stood there and said ‘do you want to come back to my place?’.

Alice: Shane! You said that?

Shane: Yeah. It works every other time.

Carmen: So anyway, I turned her down and turned back to the bar. But she wasn’t giving up. I told her she could buy me a drink, and I’d give her my number, but that’s all she would be getting from me for now.

Alice: And you accepted that? I’m surprised Shane.

Shane: Yeah. I guess I felt something when I saw her face close up. I don’t, it was different than meeting other girls. Once I saw her and talked to her a little, I realised I didn’t need to fuck her.
