“okay” I uttered. I smiled at Tina and shook my head. She winked at me and gave me two thumbs up. She said seconds later “mom, I’ll walk to you to the door”

Tina jogged over and walked her mother out. I stayed and catered to baby Christina. She was beginning to fall asleep. I continued to rock her back and forth lighty. I watched her close her eyes and drift off to sleep. I placed a gentle kiss on her forhead. Tina came over and said

“you did great” she kissed me on my cheek

I said “shh, she’s sleeping” almost in a whisper

she chuckled silently and said “oops sorry babe” she kissed baby Christina on the forehead. She took the baby from me and layed her down. I glanced down and checked the time. ” shit” I said and shook my head

Tina approached me. She said “what’s wrong?”

“I have to be at class in ten minutes” I frowned a bit. Damn I’m going to miss her.

Tina caressed my cheek and said “it’s okay. Stop it…your pouting” she taps my shoulder “we’ll see each other later” she kisses me

I blushed and said “I’m gonna miss you”

she stepped closer and pressed her body into mine. She said in a seductive voice “I’m gonna miss you more” she kisses me again “now go, I wouldn’t want you to be late”

I kissed her again and said “okay…bye” I backed away. I turned towards the door and proceeded through it.

I left out of the Mc.Cormack buidling and headed over to the Science building. I headed up to the top floor. I have a lab today, and that’s when we’ll find out whose partners with who. As I walked in I saw Kevin take his seat. I rolled my eyes and went over to my seat. I sat down

The professor stepped forward and said “Goodmorning lady’s and gentlemen. Todays the day when you will find out who your partnering with. The list that I have before me will not change. So after class, please don’t come up and say professor I can’t work with so and so. This project counts as both of your grades. So if you wanna A, then make and A. And so on and so forth. Okay please take one and pass it back.” he starts passing the list them out

“who do you think you’ll be partnered up with Bette?” Kevin asked

I smiled and said “not you” I took my back off of my back and opened it. I received the list and scrolled down trying to find my name. That instant Kevin stood and said

“thank you Mr. C. You rock” he said as he jumped up and down in his seat

“oh no, oh god no” I mumbled under my breath. I was partners with Kevin. Oh my god. I buried my face into my hands

Kevin approached me and said “so, when should get started?” he smiled revealing his white teeth.

The professor said “okay class, now that you have your list. Your free to start your research today. I’ll see you all back in class next Friday at 0900 hours. Good day” he walks around towards his desk

“no” I said

“yes” Kevin said. He smiled and pulled out a pack of gum. “want some?” he asked as he chomped and chomped on the 4 or 5 he already had in his mouth

I sighed and stood from my chair. “I’ll pass” I said. I zipped up my bag and tossed it on my back. I stepped away and said “I’ll see you Monday. Until then try atleast reseaching the topic” I frowned and walked away. What a nice way to begin to the weekend? I sighed and left the class…
