    A B/T romantic comedy

     

    “Ok, next. What school did you go to?” Tina looked doubtful for a second. “How long have we been dating, again?”

    “Education is important.” Bette defended. “And besides I probably wouldn’t ask you directly, it should have already come up in conversation.”

    “Bette, I hate to have to be the one to tell you this but you are a snob.” Tina teased with a smile.

    “I’m not a snob.” Bette sulked. “Fine, forget that one.”

    “Do you have any siblings?”

     “Just Kit. You?

    “I have one older brother and one younger sister, Jack and Sarah. Jack stayed back home, he’s married and has two kids, Mary and Amy. Sarah is a freelance journalist in New York and a bit of a player. I don’t even bother to learn the name of the guy of the week anymore.”

     

    Bette turned her head to look at her companion.

    “Are you close to them?”

    Tina pondered the question for a second. “I’ve been closer to them than I am now. When I was a kid I used to follow Jack everywhere, I drove him nuts. And Sarah followed me everywhere driving me nuts in turn.” Tina chuckled and Bette smiled waiting for the blonde to continue.

    “Then we grew up and grew apart. I came out to them when I was in college and they had a hard time accepting it, especially Sarah. Things were rough for a while but we are ok now.” Tina paused and then asked. “Are you and Kit close?”

    “We are now. We had our rough moments too.” Bette said slowly.

    Tina waited for a moment and then when nothing else was said she picked the list back up. She was scanning the list looking for the next question when she heard Bette begin to talk.

     

    “Kit is my half sister. Dad left her mom for my mom when she was twelve. She acted out pretty bad all through adolescence and I always thought she didn’t like me much, which is funny because I thought she was the coolest person that had ever lived.” The brunette paused for one long moment lost in thought. “I used to get so upset when she missed my birthday parties. Then as the years went by I realized that it just hurt her too much to be there. We met again as adults and we found out we really liked each other.”

    6. This story is adorable. I love how intuitive Tina is regarding Bette’s feelings..and how she reacts to things to make Bette feel more at ease. Hope they do some of that flirting they tried in the car in front of their crowd. PPS.

Love the story and so happy that you have a hyperactive imagination and that you love “our girls.” Hopefully when the girls get on the dance floor those special feelings will surface and give them goosebumps. Then the game is on and they will find that they really do like each other. This is gonna be so much fun. PPS

    11. Oh! PPS! I am so intrigued to find out what types of events are going to comprise a four-day wedding. So many opportunities for flirting! Can they reflect back on what happened after the dance on their introductory date? I am dying to know what happened – how did the date end? I am assuming well because they are now at the wedding.     20. Alice is a riot, but it seems she has caught on to the effect that Bette and Tina have on one another. I can’t wait to watch Bette and Tina fall for each other and the side bonus of Jodi having to face your idiocy is just icing on the cake. Your story ROCKS!
