The Mythical Season 3.5 – “Episode 4: April Fools”

    Rufus Wainwright – April Fools
    _________________________________

It’s morning in the Greater Los Angeles and not a moment too
soon.  The door opens and in steps Shane.  Max is awakened,
turning over and seeing Shane enter.  The tired expression on
Shane’s face tells the story.  Max yawns and stretches his arms.

Max: Hey. …Need some help with the bags?

Shane: Na, I got it.  Thanks.  Where’s Jenny?

    Max: Sleepin’.

Shane closes the door behind her and has a look of caution on her face.

    Shane: What about Carmen…?

Max: Dunno.  She ain’t here unless she snuck in while I was asleep.

Shane walks quietly through the living room and down the hall to her
bedroom, afraid to see the woman she had left at the altar waiting for
her.  Much to Shane’s relief, no one is in her room as she
enters.  Shane’s tempted to wake Jenny just to let her know she’s
home, but decides that sleeping in her bed is a more sound decision as
the bus wasn’t that comfortable.  Shane slips out of her pants and
jacket, removes the jewelry from her person and crawls into bed,
resting on her back and conking out almost immediately from exhaustion.

Several moments pass before Jenny’s alarm rings, waking her up from
slumber.  She groggingly gets out of bed and prepares for her day
at The Planet to work her waitress job.  She felt she could quit
the job anytime she wanted thanks to her book deal, but likes being
there which is more than she could ever say for other places she worked
at.  Once out of her room, she hears the sound of TV on.  She
can hear the morning news on in the background, hearing the talking
heads of Channel 4 talk about upcoming New Year’s Eve
celebrations.  In the midst of dealing with a funeral and
preparing for a wedding that never was up in Canada, most of the
Holiday Season, including Chanukhah had come and gone without her or
any of her other friends really noticing.  She walks into the
living room and the moment Max senses her presence, without evening
shifting his eyes from the TV…

    Max: Shane’s in bed.

Jenny immediately turns around and heads for Shane’s bedroom.  She
lightly knocks on the door, then lets herself in.  Shane’s eyes
feintly open to the sight of Jenny standing there.  Shane can
barely manage a “Hey” from her lips.  Jenny stands there a few
seconds, unsure how to feel at the moment.  She then walks over
and places herself on the bed and wraps her arms around Shane’s
collar.  Shane looks up and tell there’s more than a trace of
disappointment in Jenny’s eyes.  But Jenny says nothing, simply
closing her eyes and kissing Shane gently on the forehead.

    1. OMG…the drama!!! I love it, it sounds like they are all going to have a lot of talking to do and how is Shane going to face poor Carmencita? Oh my, not cool….Oh, I can’t wait. Thanx, post soon. Cheers!!!

    2. I wonder if anyone will stop Carmen from killing Shane. Just hope that all the gang can get together. Helena is going into uncharter water. thanks

    3. Yes, this story is happy and sad at the same time. As a Tibette fan I love that these two are in the process of healing their broken family. I am excited to see Alice and Lara helping each other out with the death of Dana. Even if these ladies do not form a girlfriend relationship they do have a great friendship to fall back into. Shane needs to come to some sort of terms as to why she left Carmen at the alter. I hope that they can also start over. As for Helena, she always bothered me in that she tried to take Tina away from Bette. Now, I see her in a different light. All she wanted was for someone to love her and care for her. She may have found that but not as a lover but as good friend to Jenny, Shane, Kit, Lara, Alice and of course even Bette and Tina. I hope that you will continue with this storyline.
