THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD 50
After a few minutes Tina looked up to see if she could spot Bette – she was nowhere in sight. Puzzled Tina got up and walked down to the water with Danny. It was only when she reached the water’s edge and looked around that a feeling of horror began to overtake her and as the terror spread through her body she let out a scream
“BETTE !!!!!!! “

A screaming woman and a screaming baby soon attracted attention. Tina just knew that something had happened to Bette. Within minutes the coastguard had been scrambled and someone was trying to reach a doctor to sedate a near hysterical Tina. Danny was reacting to his mother’s distress and was screaming.
Tina watched in total fear as a helicopter appeared and hovered over a spot 20 metres from where she was standing clinging onto Danny.
She ran forward but stopped — – knowing that she could not rescue Bette with Dan in her arms and nothing and no one would take this angel from her. A young woman reached her and lead her caringly away from the water –
Someone offered to hold Danny but Tina refused – she was going to cling onto her son and when Bette was found she was never going to let her out of her sight.
Two life guards appeared from nowhere and they raced into the water. In minutes they dragged Bette from the water – Tina ran forward
“BETTE — BETTE “
“Steady on madam “
“Please — that is my partner – my son’s mother “
“What’s her name ? “
“Bette — Bette Porter “
Tina could see a huge mark like a whiplash injury across Bette’s thighs. She was lying on the sand – her eyes shut.
“Looks like a jellyfish sting “ one of the lifeguards said to the other “ Better not touch it – get an ambulance “
“Why is she unconscious ? “ Tina demanded.
“Is she allergic to anything Miss ? “

Ally you are ever the genius with all your stories – you have the creative ability to keep the drama high as well as the love between B&T always present; as only a truly gifted writer can. Love how you portray the depth of the connection between Bette, Tina and Daniel. Can’t wait to read as you incorporate the twins into their lives. Tina’s comment about Danny’s every centimeter being Porter cracked me up…but can you blame Danny???…who wouldn’t turn away hospital food when they’ve been getting Bette ‘food’ all along? LOL!! Thank you Ally…can’t wait for more!
Hey! If you’re going to have these yankees measure stuff in metric, can you at least spell meter American-style? Yes, I tried to warn them about the revenge of the sea life and look what happened. Is this turning into an aquatic variation on “The Birds”? I guess they should just be glad Bette got it on the thighs and not between them.
Are you feeling better soon???…. because I want a NC-17 in the L-wing LOL. I can’t get that story out of my head, it’s a bit scary :o))

Ally, you can be as deeply wounded as you want, because we both know who is telling the truth here. Can you guess who is raising her hand? If you try to deny it I will just have to give you another smack upside your head!! LOL I absolutely loved this chapter and I had faith in you that you would not really harm Bette. I hope you are feeling better soon and not just to get an NC-17 posted from you either.

Glad that Bette is going to be okay. I do hope that at the end that is coming soon that we will get to see Tina and her girls and see who the father is of their baby girls.

Okay, your momentarily off the hook by having Bette be okay. But come on, can’t our poor girls just have a calm and peaceful life for once. I don’t know any couple or one that’s had that much drama in their life.Hey did anyone see “Justice” lastnight and get a glimpse of our missing Dana?
I’m glad Bette’s ok. You’re right about Australia they’ve got the most poisonous everything spiders, snakes, scorpions, jellyfish etc also great white sharks, crocs etc lol I still like going there though.
I am soooooooo happy that Bette is okay, but I am surprised that no one called Kit when Bette was taken to hospital. Now we have to see how Bette response to finding out that she can not breast feed for a while :o)

Hey Ally, More drama than you can throw a stick at… The whole chapter was brilliant; Tina’s panic, Danny’s upset, the gang’s arrival and attempt to cheer Tee up; Tina’s chat and singing to finally Bette’s awakening.
