The Language Of Love Ch 5: Long Lost Love
"I love her but I’m not ready and besides she can do better than me" Papi tried to hold herself together but inside she was dying. She knew she was walking away from the best thing that had ever happened to her in her entire life.
"You’re just tired" Kevyn tried reasoning with the woman,"lay down take a nap before the ceremony and everything will be okay when you wake up and realize you just had a few pre-wedding jitters that’s all".
"Look just give her this…" Papi handed Kevyn a letter before picking up her bag and walking towards the door,"and tell I love her and…I’m sorry". Papi began to turn the door handle.
"You’re a fucking coward" Kevyn replied. Papi didn’t flinch or look back, she just opened the door and left.
"Fuck" Kevyn said as she threw the letter across the room and plopped down on the bed.
"Hey bartender give me another please" Bette slurred as she sat down at the bar, barely making the stool. Alice noticed Bette’s sluggish demeanor and was a little alarmed but she still unable to take her eyes off of the drama that was unfolding before her very eyes. Bette however was to busy enjoying her alcohol to notice anything that wasn’t in a cup and being poured down her throat.
"Stay out of this…its none of your business" Kevyn stared at Papi as if she had two heads because she couldn’t believe what she was saying.
"You made it my business when you stood Carmen up at the altar and left me to pick up the fucking pieces" Kevyn spat back at Papi.
"Holy shit…wait a fucking minute…"Alice jumped in between Kevyn and Papi,"you were engaged to Carmen…to like marry her". She looked back and forth between Kevyn and Papi, neither one of them flinching.
"Yeah" Papi answered. She glanced around the room and finding the only place she knew Carmen would be…spinning as always,"Let me do this Kev".
"Alright" Kevyn held up both of her arms,"but don’t say I didn’t tell you". Kevyn shook head and sighed as she let Papi pass.
"Hey Alice…come here" Bette waved Alice over to the bar,"sit have a drink with me". Alice stared at Bette cautiously before actually drunk out of her mind.

A bow, huh? Is it cool if I fall over in the middle of it? I’m not good with balance. Anyway, the corn comment almost made me hurl along with Bette…not that it’s a bad thing, I’ve just got the flu and feel icky. But don’t mind my rambling, the story is good!
Nice twist having Papi be the one to run out on Carmen. I must admit the last sentence bothers me…it means Carmen still has feelings for Papi. Bette throwing up on Kevyn’s shoes was very funny. PPS!
Papi and Carmen? Oh no…please don’t do this. They don’t fit together.
