“I can’t believe that she lied to me.” Eva sat at the kitchen table at Shane’s. Carmen leaned against the counter and sighed. “I fell hard for this woman, but her man found out where I lived and threaten me. I’m not going to take that shit.”

“Why didn’t you ask her if she was involved with anyone?” Eva shook her head.

“Because at that moment I didn’t care—I was attracted, and I wanted her to myself. She’s making me look like a fool right now.”

“Have you talk to her since this happened?”
