the L saga: Episode Fifty

“All right—let’s get started.” Alice took a seat next to Shane on the couch at Bette’s as Bette sat in the love seat.

“What are you guys trying to do?” Bette looked at her two friends.

“We’re both here to help you win Tina’s heart back.” Shane spoke up.

“Right—we want you to be the sexy woman that you used to be.” Alice chirped up.

“What are you talking about? I’m still sexy.”

“Uh yeah—moving on.” Bette rolled her eyes at Alice’s remark. “What were your plans on getting Tina back?”

Bette shook her head. “I don’t know—I guess apologizing and buying her flowers.”

Shane shook her head. “Umm—how about no on the flowers, but yes on apologizing. You have to come up with a new way with apologizing. Not the—I’m sorry that I pushed away blah blah blah.”

“What is another way of apologizing?”

“You know—you can approach her with something like—Tina, I’m a mess without you. My world became completely dismantled since you’ve left my life. I want to say that I’m sorry for not being the friend and lover that you thought I could be—I want to try harder at being the best for you, and I never want to lose you again. I love you.”

“Nicely done.” Shane looked at her.

“Thank you,” Alice smiled.

“How can I approach her? She’s with that Angelina.”

“I know the perfect night—the first annual costume party at the Planet.” Alice nodded.

“When is this?”

“It’s in two nights—,” Shane looked at Alice, and Alice nodded. “So we have to get you a really hot outfit that will get Tina to notice you.”

“Like what?” Bette looked at them.

“Something that says—I’m not a slut, but I’m desperate.” Alice looked at Bette, and Bette scuffed.

“Oh come on, how is this really going to work?”

“Trust us Bette—we are your friends. We will never do you wrong.”

“You told me that already Shane. I—,” Bette got up and placed her hands on her lower back. “Why can’t things be easy like they used to be?”

“Because the times have changed, and it’s always good to try something different from now and again.” Alice crossed her arms and leaned back against the couch.
