“I just did Tee, you know how I feel, and now I know how you feel. I guess this one is your call… and you called it, there’s nothing left to say.”
“Baby please, it’s not my call, it’s ours. This is you and me. I just… I know it seems silly, believe me I know. But this has been more like a romantic getaway you know? I just… I don’t want to lose you Bette, this has been the most amazing month, and I don’t want to ruin it.”
“You’re not going to lose me. How is moving in with me going to ruin it? We’ve been living together for 2 weeks, that didn’t ruin anything.”
“I’m untidy, I know that annoys you.”
“Is that all?” Bette tried to hide her smile.
“I get grumpy when I’m hungry, I prefer tea to coffee and I hate running.”
Bette laughed out loud, raising Tina’s hands to her lips to kiss them.
“I will clean up after you, feed you, buy you tea and run by myself if you promise to forgive my bad cooking, bad singing, and need to plan everything down to the minute.”
“Deal.” Tina looked into those beautiful brown eyes, the pools that had first made her pay attention to Bette Porter, swimming in them, falling in love all over again.
“So…”
“So… while you call James, I will talk to my realtor, I’ll probably have to pay to get out of my contract, but you’re right… I’m being a baby.”
“Really? You’ll move in?” Bette face broke out into a large smile, her eyes twinkling with tears.
“Yes, I’ll move in.”
“I love you Tee.”
“I love you Bette.”
They kissed gently, breaking apart before the passion grew, torn between wanting to celebrate this big decision they had made and wanting to get organised to they could get back to LA and start this new chapter of their journey.
8 pm. Day 32. Bette’s House. West Hollywood.
Bette paid the cab fare and stepped out; Tina followed her, taking her hand as they walked up the drive.
“This… is home.” Bette proclaimed as she let Tina inside. Tina stepped in carefully, sure Bette could hear the loud thump of her heart beating, smell the scent of her fear. Bette placed their bags by the front door; she moved towards her love, kissing the back of Tina’s neck before encasing her in her arms and resting her head on the blonde’s shoulder; Tina felt a calm spread through her body. She turned to face Bette, a wide grin on her face.

Wow, their journey has traveled down one road but now has begun to travel down on a different road. Their first night together in their new home was breath taking.

OMG! If there isn’t a sequel to this story I am seriously going to be balling my eyes out all night! I can’t believe the journey has come to an end. The finale love scene just left me aching for more – rather like our favorite couple in the story. There are so many interesting stories to tell with Tina’s new position in LA, the family adjusting to Tina, Alice and Tina working through their awkwardness over Bette. Hope you don’t wait to long to post again!
