As far as Tina’s parting message was concerned Bette had spent many many many hours at home but the lights where certainly not on.  The instant the word forever left her lips the light was switched on and she knew exactly what she had to do.

LA 1988 One week Later

“Fuck fuck fuck…..Al you and your fucking shoes ”  Tina picks up the shoe she just tripped over and tosses it. “Fuck” she said as she watched it fly out the open window.

“Tina have you any idea how fucking much they cost me”  Al looks out the second floor window.  “It’s there are you going to go get it”

“No….as long as it’s down there it’s one less that I can trip over”  Tina replied.

“If you don’t go get my shoe I’ll just rip this up”  Al waves the airmail envelope far  too close to Tina and has it snatched out of her hand quicker than she can blink.

“You better go get your shoe or you will have to hop to that party tonight”  Tina winks and lays down kissing the envelope.

“Un…fucking…believable”  Al slams the door behind her as she leaves to retrieve her shoe.

Tina finished reading Bette’s letter and put it back in the envelope when Al returned.

“Your lucky no one ran off with my shoe Kinnard….Hey what’s wrong….oh fuck it wasn’t a Dear Joan was it”

Tina wiped the tears from her cheeks.

“I miss her so much Al”

“I know you do…it’s not like you don’t tell me every second of everyday……. only 5 days then your little hot ass will be sat on a plane back to the mother land…..have you told her your coming”

“No I wanted to surprise her, I can’t wait to see her face when I show up”

“I think maybe you should let her know your coming she might have made plans with Hot as Hel this summer”

“Fuck you Al,…….I can’t believe she’s rooming with that stuck up bitch”
