Bette is stumped and thinks for a minute, Helena not wanting to stop this little game adds.

“Fun licking fanny”

“What…..Oh no we didn’t do that”  

“Darling you are not serious, let me let you into a little secret”  Helena leans in heading towards Bette’s ear.  “You will never taste….”

“No none of them are right….I know the L word is love”  Bette interrupted and dodged Helena’s advances and staggers back to her own bed.  “Not once have I heard Tina say fuck…bloody… yes all the time but never fuck”

“I don’t know Tina that well darling but what I do know she is a feisty little…..”

“Fuck”

“I was going to say thing but feisty little fuck works for me”  

“What….no I missed my mouth and spilled it all over me” Bette retrieves a clean t-shirt and changes with her back to Helena, she lays back on her own bed and without warning she bursts into tears.

 “I’m losing her Hel” she sobs.  “Her letters used to be filled with how much she missed me, how much she missed twirling her fingers in my hair, how much she missed my chocolate brown eyes….now she misses English chocolate and all she writes about is the crazy antics of her room mate it’s Al this and Al that, have I mentioned that Al is gay….if she even attempts to lay a finger on Tina I swear I will kill her”  

Helena is torn between telling the subject of her unrequited affections that of course she isn’t losing Tina and offering comfort or making Bette realise that her relationship with Tina is doomed in her opinion.  Selfishness wins.

“You know darling 2 years is a long time to be apart and expect her feelings to remain intact….not to mention you have another 3 ahead of you before you can even think about being together”

“You don’t understand Hel, Tina’s my first…..my first….” Bette was prepared to go into detail until Helena interrupted.

“I do understand but darling have you any idea how rare that would be….maybe you should be happy for what you had with Tina and accept that she is part of your past….and it’s time to move on…”

“I won’t accept that…. I want Tina….I don’t want anyone else….I want her to be my last”
