The royals were all gone and now the ‘real’ reception could start. Everyone had just finished eating when Alice ticked on her glass, asking for attention. Bette and Tina looked at each other; sure, this was going to end well.

“Hi, I’m Bette’s best friend, like Shane is, and I would like to say to Bette and Tina that I’m very happy for them and hope they’ll have a great life together. Now, after Bette had met Tina for the first time I knew for sure Bette had a crush but she didn’t want to admit it and I want to use this opportunity to say… I was right!” Alice said, looking proud. “Now, let us raise our glass to Bette and Tina.” She said. Everybody did and Alice sat back down; Bette and Tina exhaled. No embarrassing story. A few minutes later, Kit got up the stage; she would sing Bette and Tina’s first dance. Together, the couple walked to the dance floor when the music started. They began to sway to the music.

“I love you so much.” Bette said.

“I love you more.” Tina said.

“That’s impossible.” Bette told her.

“Let’s just agree we love each other equally?” Tina suggested.

Bette’s answer was to kiss Tina on the lips.

“Can I just see you every morning when

I open my eyes

Can we just feel this way together?

Can I just spend my life with you?”

They were still giving each other small kisses. Bette moved her head so her lips were only millimeters from Tina’s ear. “I can’t wait to have you lying in a bed naked with me.”
