The Gathering – Finale – Like Me Now? – All Hail The King and His Many Queens
“That is a wonderful story.” The interviewer said, and Jesse’s press agent came over and whispered into his ear. Jesse waved him away, and went on. He hated the political part of the job he’d worked all his life to get.
“I had a bevy of wonderful teachers to draw on, Marty Summers taught me how to think and see how other peoples minds worked. One person’s way of thinking is never the only way. Kit Porter introduced me to the world of music, and culture that were not my own. Marina Ferrer taught me languages, and how to speak them, and read them. I speak French, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, and Latin. Bette Porter taught me about art, and how they can not only speak to you, but can inspire you to great heights. Tina Kennard showed me that sometimes, the simple things are what you need to cherish, and hold those simple things dear. Jenny Schecter taught me how to write, to put my thoughts down and make them articulate and to speak to the masses and not to the privileged. Dana Fairbanks showed me that keeping my body sharp help to keep my mind even sharper, that it was a temple and you should worship it. Alice Pieszecki always challenged me, helped me see the world in not black and white and shades of grey, but in all the colors of the world. My aunt Jayden Pryde and her wife Lara Perkins taught me that emotion and love have no boundaries, white, black, red or alien, man or woman, feeling and love don’t see them, they just exist in us all.” Jesse stopped for a moment, and he looked over to the two women who’d fought for him, bled for him and loved him.
“Then there is Shane McCutcheon and Samantha Vance, my two mothers who let the world teach me, and guided me when I was wrong, and supported me in my mistakes and my ventures. If it were not for these people, I wouldn’t be here tonight, telling the world about how I became President of the United States. I wouldn’t be the man I am, I would more than likely be far away from this very chair. Forgiveness starts not at home, but in your heart. Acceptance starts there also, I have four years to change the world as I know it. So if you’ll excuse me, I have some work to do.” Jesse finished, and the interviewer shook his hand, and he stepped away from the lime light, and got to work.
Time to change the world.
One step, one person, and one life at a time.

I have loved this story from the beginning until the end every twist and turn all the excitement, heartache, love, struggle, awareness, lust, all of it, and I know I have forgotten some points. Especially loved the connection with Angel & Buffy. I agree with Redfrpg this tory made it mightly difficult to do any work, but shit who cares I loved it all and would gladly do it again. It was that good. Thanks and looking forward to more.
That was fucking EXCELLENT! When I first started this story I didn’t think I’d love it as much as the first, glad to see I was so very wrong. Sleepness nights be damned, it was worth it. Waiting anxiously to read more of your work.
Thanks you for the finishing touch. thanks bvh
