The Gathering 01.69 – The Gathering ReDux – Pt. 17

            Atmosphere, the room is warm with bodies, women of every sort mill around from well to wall.  One group of friends are in turmoil over the actions of one of the group.  Life never stops changing. 

            Alice and Sam emerged from the bathroom and Tina saw how upset they both seemed.  She motioned for Sam to go to the balcony and Tina got up and kissed Bette with a soft smile and pleading eyes.

            “I’m going to go talk to Sam, no jealous wife routine right?  She’s our friend.”  Bette grinned sheepishly, and shook her head.  She smiled so sweetly, and Tina‘s heart lit up with all the love she felt for Bette.  Tina cupped her face in her hands and kissed her again.

            “No jealous wife routine, I promise.”  Alice sat down and put her head on Jayden’s lap, and Jayden pushed aside some of her blonde hair, wondering what had gotten Alice so upset.  Alice‘s took long ragged breaths as she caressed Jay‘s leg.

            “Al, what’s going on?”  Jayden asked, and Alice sat up and whispered into her ear.  A regretful tone tainted her voice.

            “How about I tell you when we get home, ok?”  Jay nodded and Alice took her drink and drank it down in one long gulp.  She hoped that everything was ok.

            “Anything you want.”  Jay kissed her softly and Alice turned into the kiss, taking Jay by surprise.  Alice kissed her with all the love and passion she felt for Jayden at that moment, her hand at the side of Jayden’s face, kissing her with a fury.

            “Well hello.”  Jay said breathlessly as Alice pulled away.

            “I need a cold shower.”  Lara laughed, and Dana smiled at them. 

            “How about we dance my darling?”  Alice said, taking Jayden’s hand and leading her to the dance floor.  Alice stared at Shane as they danced, she just didn’t understand it. 

            Alice knew how great a person Sam was.  She’d offered herself to C.J. one and she’d refused Alice, gently and with love in her heart.  Sam was a catch, Alice pulled Dana closer, smiling to herself, she’d found her very own Sam.  She wouldn’t give Jayden up for the world, now or ever.
