    This FF is a Bette & Tina, Shane & Sam (original character), Alice & Dana, Lara & Jayden (original character), Jenny & Marina, Kit & Marty (original character) Fan Fiction, There is no instant gratification here, it’s a long winding rollercoaster ride told in plausible form. There are NO Wham, Bam

                Sam
    was sitting at her bedside holding Shane‘s left
    hand and dozing.  It was after 6pm and Sam had
    only called Shane‘s friends after she’d been
    patched up and had time to wake up.  Sam
    had explained to Shane what had happened in a
    calm voice, reassuring her that she’d be fine. 
    Shane had fallen into a fitful sleep
    after Sam had administered another drug to make
    her rest.

     

                Sam‘d
    also arranged for Shane to have a private room,
    thinking that she needed a bit of solitude at the moment.  Alice
    stopped short when she saw the odd scene, but then rushed into the room.  Sam holding Shane‘s hand?  Oh oh.  Alice
    instantly thought.

     

                Sam
    woke up at the sound of footsteps and was wide-awake and she shot out of the
    chair.  Almost guiltily,
    Dana observed quietly from across the room.  There was something about Sam
    that Dana couldn’t quite put her finger on.  A sadness buried inside of the doctor was
    evident but there was something still keeping her flame burning inside of her.

     

                “What the *****
    happened?”      Kit
    asked making her way to Shane.  Her hand smoothing back Shane‘s
    wild hair.

     

                “Kit?”  Shane asked
    grabbing the woman’s friendly hand. 
    Feeling the dark woman’s warm skin, closing her eyes against the blurs
    that now bounced before her.

     

                “She’s semi
    blind.  It’s temporary from the swelling
    from the blows to her head.  The arm will
    be healed in about 6 to 8 weeks.  She’s
    got multiple abrasions, a concussion, and an attitude.”      Sam
    chimed in; rubbing Shane‘s arm and moving away
    from the bed, letting Dana take her place.  The young Doctor slipped out of the room
    before anyone else could ask her any questions. 

               

                “What happened Shane?”  Marina
    asked from the foot of the bed, her eyes taking in the site of the beaten and
    bruised woman.

     

                “Some guy jumped me at
    a stop light, nailed me good, and threw me out of my truck.  Then I think a car hit me.  Next thing I knew I was here and     Sam  Shane‘s
    eyes roamed the room aimlessly, not able to see anything more than shapes and
    shadows.  She reached out with her good
    hand and Dana caught it, wrapping her athletic
    fingers around Shane‘s long thin ones.  A tear spilled from Dana‘s
    eyes as she swallowed back the sadness, rubbing her eyes with her free hand.
    was giving me some really good drugs.”

    1. Some people don’t read your comments. Sam is neat, Poor Shane, Tina gets to Bette and Marina and Kit gets Fran. loving it all over again. thanks bvh

    2. I am enjoying it. I just have one question, what do you have against Bette (and Shane for that matter)? I know they have to suffer, but Tina thinks she’s a stalker..pu-llease Tina get a grip. Please do not wipe up the floor with them. I am sure you won’t. I know deep down inside, in the clear, crisp recesses of your mind you are a TiBetter. JKDWYD

    3. Oh yeah, Kit to the rescue!! While Marina behaved badly in season 1 (“I’ve opened up your world”, I say, “who asked you for your help woman!!”), I don’t think she deserved Fran (What a hussy!!) or that husband (boy, o boy). Indeed she had enough misery. Also, I like the fact that you are bringing to light the whole dissolution of marriage thing for Jenny and Tim (poor guy).

    4. this is my first time commenting on either of your stories but i thought it should be known that i love thr sam character, but i am seeing a theme or at least a small connection between this and your last story, you like shane either blind or in hospitals it seems lol…anyway keep up the good work and post soon please

    9. Awesome chapter, we get flown in right where the drama is taking place. Love it. Poor Shane, getting carjacked like that, she’s a lucky girl. Not only cuz she’s going to be fine physically but also because she’s being taken care of by our lovely Doc. Kit has got balls!!! What a great way to slap Francesca in the face, not literally but this is so much better. Agh…Bette, I know she betrayed Tina but they really have to work things out. I hope they will eventually.

    10. Well, I like Sam Vance, it will be fun to see if she ends up taking care of Shane. Love the drama between B&T even if it is just a little. I love this Kit she seems powerful and sure of herself.
