Alice: So Tina, correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t you at the gallery with your boyfriend Eric?

The words stung Tina but she wasn’t going to back down.

Tina: as a matter of fact Alice, yes I was.

Alice: Hmmmso what happened with him? I mean you’re with Bette now right?

Tina: It just didn’t work out.

Shane tried her hardest to change the subject.

Shane: So what do you do for a living Tina?

Tina: I do script approval for Alphaville.

Alice: Weird because I heard this little rumor that you and Eric had been together for a really long time. In fact, I thought you were engaged.

The tension in the air was undeniably thick.

Tina: No, we were never engaged.

Tina wished Bette would hurry back before this became an all out war.

Shane: Me too!

The girls made their apologies and dragged Alice off to a corner.

Shane: Al, what the ***** are doing? Bette really likes her. Either you don’t or you’re just jealous.

Dana: Or both.
Alice: I don’t trust her. Plain and simple.

Dana: Why?

Alice: A week ago she is on this guys arm and now she’s in Bette’s bedno body else has a problem with that?

Alice: Whatever you guys. I would totally never go from guy to girl that quickly. You need time to transition properly. Not only has she not transitioned but this is her first time with a girl. You can’t go into a relationship with Bette Porter with blinders on.

Dana nodded in agreement.

Shane: Just get back there and be nice. Bette likes this one and she has given us no reason not to like her.

Tina sat at the table alone nervously glancing around. A tall women approached her quickly.

Marina: Hi. You’re new here.

Tina: Umm yeah.

Tina was fiddling with a napkin.
