The Canvas of our Life….Ch 10

“Are you sure you don’t need me to stay with you Tina? He asked finishing his sentence with a yawn.

“No, I’ll be fine.” She answered already aggravated that he was so willing to leave her there alone.

“It’s just one more thing to add to my list of reasons not to marry you.” She muttered under her breath as she got out of the car.

“What Tina?” Eric yawned in response

“Nothing Erictell Mom I’ll call her later.”

    “Ok, sweetielove you.”

Tina glared back at Eric with no response and closed the car door hard before spinning around and heading toward the hospital doors. “He is so stupid sometimes” she said to herself.

Tina entered the revolving doors suddenly feeling a chill in the air as she approached the information desk.

“Excuse me ma’am, I’m looking for my father. His name is Larry Tyler.”

“Is your father a patient or a visitor.”

    “He’sa patient.”

The receptionist types his name into the computer looking for his room number

“Looks like your father is in room 2118 on the 3rd floor. Just take the hall to your right and the elevators will be on your left. Take them to the 3rd floor and you will see the nurses station as you exit the elevators. You’ll have to check in with them first. Good luck miss.”

Tina thanked her and headed for the elevators. As the elevator doors opened she immediately realized she was in the ICU. She saw Carol talking to one of the doctors. And immediately headed towards her.

“Carol! Where’s Dad? I want to see him.”

“You must be Tina.” The doctor interrupted.

“This is Larry’s daughter.” Carol answered.

    “Hello doctor?”

“Lanerdnice to meet you.” He replied offering his hand to Tina.

Tina shook his hand trying to focus on his badge through tears that she didn’t realize had formed in her eyes until she attempted to read.

“Tina I’m a cancer specialists from the California Hospital Medical Center in LA.”

“A cancer specialistwhy would he need a cancer specialistshe just had a back acheOh God”

At that, everything went dark for Tina. When she woke up she was laying on a hospital bed herself in a dark room. She immediately sat up but quickly laid back down feeling very very dizzy. She reached up and touched her head reacting to the dull ache she began to feel. “What happened?” she thought to herself trying to remember what caused her to end up with a large knot on the side of her head. She noticed that Carol had crept into the room followed by a short stocky little nurse with an accent that she couldn’t place.

    1. So sad, I feel bad for Tina her dad is dieying and no one is there to confort her. What does she see in Eric any way. Please get Bette out there to help Tina threw this. Thanks a bunch for the post and will be waiting for more.

    2. This is a serious and difficult situation you’ve created. Eric is such a jerk. Tina needs support and hopefully Bette will be there. I like the way you’re developing the characters. Please don’t let this be a story where they’re always at the hospital and jumping from one serious crisis to the next.

    3. This is sad, Tina need to call Bette or Bette call or come to Tina and help her. Eric such a stupid ass and hope he not gonna bother now. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    4. TBC??? do you really have to ask? Please continue with the story> and I really think that Tina should call Bette. Tina holds all the cards right now, but please let Bette be forgiving and understanding. keep writing. I’ll be reading.
