The Canvas of our Life….Ch 10

    Previously..

Tina unlocks her apartment door and finds Eric sitting on the couch looking back at her with extremely red eyes.

“Are you ready to go?” he says with a cracked voice

    “Did my Mother call you?”

“Yes, she told me all about your father. Carol called her to get your number and Mom called me. Tinawe really need to talk.”

“I know we do Eric. Let me get my things. I’ll be ready in a few minutes.”

Tina walks away and begins to cry again. She tries to process everything that is going on right now but cannot think of anything at the moment but her father and Bette. She needs to be there for her father and she knows she has to make a decision on Eric. She worries about Bette and what she may have thought about the decision she made moments ago. She regrets not letting Bette take her but she knows that avoiding Eric is not the right decision either.

Bette decides that she needs a familiar face, a familiar voice, perhaps a familiar touch right now. She feels hurt, confused and rejected. She opens her phone and dials Gloria’s number.

    RING RING RING.

“HelloBette?” Gloria answers sounding groggy “Betteare you ok?”

“Gloria, I need to talk to someone, are you busy?”

    “Bettewhat is itis something wrong?”

“NoI mean yesI DON’T KNOW Gloria. I really need you right now can I come over?”

“Why don’t you go home and get some sleep and we’ll meet for coffee in the morning.”

“Oh godyouyou have company don’t you? I am so sorry Gloria. What was I thinking. I assumed that youI shouldn’t have assumed. Yeslet’s get together in the morning, if you can. I don’t want to impose. I”

“Bette stop. You’re right about the company part. But coming to have coffee with you is not an imposition. Please stop assuming Bette. Why don’t I call you in the morning.”

“Thank youI appreciate it. I’ll let you go get back toto whatever it is.”

Gloria chuckles lightly”Well I was sleeping 5 minutes ago.Oh and Bette?”

    “Yes?”

    “It’s the blonde isn’t it?”

Bette lets out an audible sigh”yesit is.”

“See you tomorrow Bette. Get some sleep ok?”

    1. So sad, I feel bad for Tina her dad is dieying and no one is there to confort her. What does she see in Eric any way. Please get Bette out there to help Tina threw this. Thanks a bunch for the post and will be waiting for more.

    2. This is a serious and difficult situation you’ve created. Eric is such a jerk. Tina needs support and hopefully Bette will be there. I like the way you’re developing the characters. Please don’t let this be a story where they’re always at the hospital and jumping from one serious crisis to the next.

    3. This is sad, Tina need to call Bette or Bette call or come to Tina and help her. Eric such a stupid ass and hope he not gonna bother now. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    4. TBC??? do you really have to ask? Please continue with the story> and I really think that Tina should call Bette. Tina holds all the cards right now, but please let Bette be forgiving and understanding. keep writing. I’ll be reading.
