The Beginning of Bette and Tina–Chapter 6
‘Oh, that smile is going to be trouble for me,’ Tina thought.
Tina blushed at Bette’s comment and followed her toward the house. When Bette opened her door and flicked on a few lights, Tina was taken back by the beauty of Bette’s home and the comfort it gave her just standing in the doorway. Bette watched Tina in amusement, and she couldn’t help but think how perfect Tina looked being in her home.
“Bette, you have such a beautiful, warm home.”
“Thank you,” Bette said, stepping further into the house, “it’s my sanctuary.”
Tina was making a small circle looking at the whole front of the house when her eyes met Bette’s. They stared at each other for a few moments until Bette couldn’t take any more of the sexual tension building.
“How about a glass of wine?” she asked, heading for the kitchen.
“Wine sounds perfect,” Tina replied, following Bette.
Neither spoke as Bette retrieved the wine and glasses. They just silently took in the moment while stealing glances at one another. Bette handed Tina her glass and when their hands made contact a shiver went up and down both their spines.
Bette raised her glass and Tina did the same, “To finding love.”
“To finding love,” Tina repeated.
They clinked their glasses together and took a sip, never breaking eye contact with the other. When they brought their glasses down, they continued to look into each other’s eyes—eyes that told the story of every emotion they were feeling. They both inched closer and closer until each could feel the other’s breath on their lips. Tina closed the gap between them and gently placed her lips on Bette’s.
Each woman’s heart raced and threatened to jump out of their chests. They could feel the kiss throughout their entire body. Bette pulled away to see if Tina had felt the same during their kiss—even though the kiss itself had practically confirmed that—and when she looked into the glassy hazel eyes she knew they both felt the magic. Bette didn’t hesitate before gently capturing Tina’s lips with her own. It was just as explosive as the first kiss had been—maybe even more. Neither woman wanted to stop but both knew it was a special moment that they wanted to keep special and pure. They pulled apart and smiled at each other. Bette brushed her nose against Tina’s and then laid her forehead against Tina’s.
Tina couldn’t believe how alive it made her feel to kiss a woman, and not just any woman, but Bette. She mentally kicked herself for having denied her body and soul this amazing pleasure her whole life. If there was any doubt left in her mind or body as to whether this was right or not, they were completely dispelled after that kiss. She was going to do anything and everything to assure that she got to kiss Bette every day for the rest of her life.
Bette was in disbelief of how much power that simple kiss had on her. She had kissed many women in her lifetime, but no kiss—however gentle or passionate it was—had even compared to the kiss she just shared with Tina. And from the moment her lips met Tina’s, Bette knew she never wanted to kiss another woman again, and she was going to do everything in her power to ensure that happened.
“Wow,” Bette finally breathed out.
“Yeah,” Tina replied.
They both giggled like love sick teenagers and reluctantly pulled apart.
“So, you ready for dinner?”
“Uh huh,” Tina said, still lost in the power of their kiss.
“Okay,” Bette said giggling, “what should we order?”
“Order? You mean you invite me for dinner, but you’re not going to cook for me?” Tina teased Bette.
“Oh, believe me; I’m doing you a favor by not cooking for you. I somehow manage to even mess up toast. The kitchen is definitely not my area of expertise.”
“Well, lucky for you—it is for me. Come on, we’ll make it together.”
“Uh, I don’t know, Tina. I really don’t think you understand how bad I am at cooking.”
“Please,” Tina said grabbing both of Bette’s hands and planting a light kiss on Bette then giving her a seductive smile, “it’ll be romantic.”
“Oh, that’s so not fair. You’re already using those wonderful lips to bribe me,” Bette said laughing.
“Well, is it working?” Tina asked giving her another light, tantalizing kiss.
“Oh yeah, and I can already tell those lips of yours are going to have me wrapped around your finger.”
“Really? Um, well…then I’ll let you in on a secret. Your smile and eyes…make me putty in your hands.”
“You mean this smile,” Bette flashed a sexy, almost goofy grin at Tina, “and these eyes?” Bette said wiggling her eyebrows.
“Yep, those would be the ones,” Tina said laughing.
“Well, then,” Bette said seductively, as she leaned in for another kiss and another kiss…
