Sweet love hangover.. I don’t need a cure

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, Carmen’s cell phone vibrated on top of her desk. She sat on top of Shane and just stared at her. She was confused how Shane can just walk right in here and in seconds flat they were having sex.

“What’s the matter?” Shane was kissing her on her collarbone.

“Um,” Carmen began to scratch her forehead. Carmen snapped out of hearing the sound of her cell phone, buzz against the table.  Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, her cell phone went off again.

“Your cell phone is ringing” Shane said in a low voice.

“Shit” running over to her desk in her bra, panties and heels. Shane sat on the couch with her jeans unbutton searching for her shirt.

Sloan was on her way back from the office. It was cold and clammy in New York. Typical New York weather, but Sloan didn’t mind she kind of missed it. Sloan was checking her phone to see if Carmen responded to any of her text messages that she had sent.

“Shane you got to leave, leave now” Carmen was upset, she was furious; confused  she got up from her desk and began putting her clothes back on. Shane sat up to straighten her out. “Carmen I thought this is what you wanted”. Shane said

Carmen scrunched her face and shook her head, “No, No this isn’t what I want”

“Well you didn’t sound like that 5 minutes ago” Shane walked up to Carmen and held onto her arm. Carmen reached down to see who texted her, it was Sloan, “Shit” she whispered to herself and placed her palm on her forehead, “fuck”

    “What’s the matter? Shane asked

“I missed Sloan’s call and her text.

“Just tell her you were busy that’s all”, Shane suggested. Carmen walked behind her desk, “Shane you got to go! She said brushing her hair with her fingers. "how could I do this?

“What if I don’t want to leave this time Carmen”?

“You have too,” Carmen said as she sat down in her leather chair; holding her stomach as if she were about to be sick.” Please Shane, I need time to think”

After Shane left the office, Carmen couldn’t figure what just happen between her and Shane? How could Shane do this? To me, to Molly who had not a clue. Is this the new Shane or has Shane been like this for ever, and was she like this when they were together. Was she really this heartless, Carmen had so many questions running through her head? She needed a break, she needed a release, she needed Sloan, and Sloan could block Shane from her mind, by the time she cleared her head it was time to go home.

    1. What a pleasant surprise — we have our sequel! Thank you, Surgtech! I can’t wait to read what you have in store for our girl’s. I must say though, I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when Carmen & Shane were deep in conversation in that dark corner of Hit. When will Shane finally let go of her inhibitions and tell Carmen how she really feels? Maybe she needs a little motivation. Perhaps, if Carmen brings a certain someone to the Christmas dinner as her date, then Shane might be forced to tell her how she feels and what she wants. …And for goodness sake, will Shane stop stringing Molly along? :-)
