“The doctors are going to do everything they can for her “ Tina said
“Can we see her ?”
“Not for a while – we have a wait then they will come and get us “
“Oh Tina – I am so worried “
“Its going to be okay Elizabeth “ Tina found herself comforting Bette’s mom.
“Why don’t you sit down and we will wait together “
James caught Tina’s eye
“If there is nothing I can do Tina I will go back to the gallery”
Tina rubbed her face “Thank you for everything James – look I will call you when I get some news about her and we will have to talk about how the gallery is going to operate with Bette missing – one way or another she is going to be missing for a while”
“Anything you want me to do Tina – I will keep it going as best as I can. But for now you have to think totally about Bette – nothing else matters. Do not worry about the gallery – I know enough to keep it running”
Tina went over to James and hugged him “Thank you so much James – you have saved her life”
James smiled shyly “I am glad that I was able to help “
“You saved her life and neither of us will ever be able to thank you enough “
James nodded and quietly slipped away.
“What was all of that about – he saved her ?”
“He recognised the symptoms – she was a bit tired and had a stiff neck this morning but there was nothing that showed there was anything more serious – she was a bit jet lagged but fine. We owe it all to James for realising that there was a problem and getting her here “
“Oh God -that is so scary -it just happened while she was at work ?”
“She was just tired and her neck was sore – that was all – I didn’t think anything of it – it was only at work where she really got worse . James said he was concerned because she is never ill – she had a blinding headache and the light was disturbing her. He recognised the symptoms and got her here which has probably saved her life”

Thankfully James knew the symptoms and got her to the hospital in time and because of his quick action she will be alright in time. That is such good news. Where is Kit by the way, thought she was in town. Great post. thanks.

I had to go back a read again the last 2 chapters to get myself back in the “know” on this story!! I hope Bette gets well soon and the wedding is not in jeopardY!! PPS…I missed this story!!
