    Author Notes:

    The next day…

     

    Tina: “She did and we were really tired so we decided that we would get some rest and talk this morning when we were both refreshed and in better states of mind.” she says smiling as she sees Bette emerge from the living area and walk into the kitchen.

     

    Hope: “I need to get ready for school mom!” she says with irritation in her voice.

     

    Tina: “Well, come home and get ready… Bette and I are going to have a nice breakfast and start our talk in the backyard by the pool.” she says pointing at the plates and silverware for Bette to grab. “I will leave a plate on the counter for you.”

     

    Hope: “Great not only do you have the woman who cheated on you in our house; you are also trying to poison me with your cooking. Never mind, ill just borrow some clothes from Ethan. See you later.” she says and hangs up the phone.

     

                Bette sat and stared at the look of disbelief on Tina’s face. Tina was in between mad and confused as to why Hope had hung up on her. As Tina stood there in silence Bette stood and touched her arm bringing her out of her daze.

     

    Tina: “Oh… I’m sorry.” she said as she started to the back patio area.

     

    Bette: “Tina…” she said as she grabbed her elbow and turned her around.

     

    Tina: “What’s up?”

     

    Bette: “Are you ok; was that Hope on the phone?”

     

    Tina: “Yeah, she’s not too happy with me right now.” she says with a frown.

     

    Bette: “Because of me?” she says as she lets out a sigh.

     

    Tina: “Don’t worry Bette, she will come around. For the last couple of years I really haven’t provided her with the stability that I should have.” she says with downcast eyes.

     

    Bette: “I’m sure that you have taken care of her…” she says as she rubs Tina’s neck.

     

    Tina: “I really need to form a better relationship with her before I end up losing her Bette. She is a very strong willed girl; she kind of reminds me of you.” she says and sits down on a patio chair next to the pool and motions for Bette to do the same. “I guess we should figure out what happened and what’s going to happen…”

    8. Welcome back girl. I have been totally bummed and have missed this story. I do not know exactly how many times that I have re-read this story but I have really missed it. So IMO you should definitely continue. Sorry about life not going well, but I am happy to hear that your family is so supportive.
