Shay looks over at Alice, unsure. Alice nods her heads and mouths “Go on.” After taking a moment to clear his throat, Shay continues. “Shane, you’re the best big sister ever. Whenever I need you, you’re always there, no matter what. I know I can always count on you.” Shay peeks over at Alice again for more reassurance. Alice nods her head again and Shay takes a deep breath and says, “Make sure you always do that for Molly, too. Make sure she always knows that you’re there for her no matter what and that she can always count on you.” Shane shakes her head as she smiles from ear to ear, impressed with Shay’s maturity. She cocks her head to the side to look at Molly, who had the same grin on her face as well. Their eyes meet and they laugh, as they turn their eyes back to Shay. “And Molly, I don’t know if you know this, but every time you walk into a room, Shane smiles.” Molly turns to look at Shane, who shoots a smile back, admitting that what Shay said was true. “You make her happy. Promise me that you will always do your best to keep making her smile.” Molly nods to Shay, silently making that promise to him. “So,” Shay says, as he raises his glass of sparkling cider, “Here’s to Shane and Molly. Always be there for each other and always make each other smile. I love you, both.” Shay takes a sip from his glass, as Shane and Molly clink their glasses together and take a sip as well.

Shay hops down from the podium and runs over to Shane and Molly. Kneeling down, Shane opens her arms and pulls Shay into a tight hug.
“That was great, little man. Thank you so much.”

“Did you like it?” Shay asks, pulling back from the hug.

“We loved it, Shay,” Molly says, as she hugs him, too.

Cool!” Shay says happily. “I gotta go tell Alice!” he adds, as he runs off.

Shane watches him run off with a smile on her face. “I can’t believe he wrote that,” she says, as she turns towards Molly. “That was amazing.”
