    Chapter  10

     

    “Surprised would be one way I would describe it.” Bette looked toward Giselle. “It’s so nice to see you again Giselle.”

     

    “It is a pleasure Ms. Porter.” Giselle seemed to have a knowing smile, or, was that Bette’s imagination.

     

    “So, what do I owe the honor of your trip to The Porter Gallery?” Bette was confident that she knew the answer but wanted to see what Tina’s response would be.

     

    “While the sketches you did for me of the gallery were certainly helpful, I wanted to see the gallery for myself.” Tina smiled at Bette. It was s slightly different smile than Bette had seen before.

    Bette walked Tina and Giselle through the gallery and as much as Tina wanted to see it’s layout, she also very much enjoyed the art on exhibit. “Bette, you have an absolutely amazing gallery. Both the natural and artificial light is so well used. It is stunning really.”

     

    “Thank you Tina. That is a wonderful complement.”

     

    Bette excused herself from Tina and located James. “I need a favor.” James looked at her knowing this did not bode well for him. “I need you to entertain Giselle. Take her to lunch, show her around a bit. I would like to take Tina  to lunch.”

     

    “Well, Giselle is certainly beautiful but, what makes you think that she will go with me?”

     

    “I will encourage Tina to encourage her if need be.” Bette smiled a slightly mischievous smile and returned to Tina and Giselle in the gallery.

     

    “Have you ladies had lunch yet? I was about to go out to get something.”

     

    Before Tina could answer, she was interrupted by James. “I don’t want to be presumptuous but, I am sure that you and Ms. Kennard have some details to work out before the exhibit, Giselle, would you join me for lunch and a small West Hollywood tour after?” James and Giselle both knew what was going on and Giselle graciously agreed. “Very well then, we are off to have a little fun. You two can have a working lunch.”

     

    “Your quick.” Tina smiled a knowing smile Bette’s direction.

     

    “I thought it would be nice to be able to take you to one of my favorite places for lunch. You were so accommodating while I was in Paris.” Bette’s smile did not hide her joy. “It’s a beautiful day, lets walk. Is that OK?” Tina nodded her agreement.

    3. I love this impromptu visit from Tina. I believe that Tina is going after Bette and Bette does not stand a chance of escaping with her heart. That organ already belongs to Tina only neither one knows it yet.

    9. HA, Bette has no idea what she’s in for. It seems our Ms. Kenard has plans for her and Bette doesn’t know it yet, but she will go along with them. It fun to see Bette thrown a bit off guard.

    10. Oh Bette, you have fallen so hard you dont even know it yet, and Tina has her beady little eyes set on you. Dont argue, dont fight, dont resist, just enjoy and fall into committment, and let it take its natural course.

    12. Oh DJRK, you just made us laugh, when we think that Tina has an ace under her sleeve and Bette is just playing deaf to what her senses are telling her. But, she also doesn’t want Tina to think she slept with her to accomplish the exhibit. In the end, Bette would not understand when she started falling for this amazing artist.     24. and the best place to eat… i can’t think of a reason why bette is worried… is she worried about falling in love… too late i think she is falling in love… and i also think tina is… so why is bette acting this way… tina came accross the pond to her… that should speak volumns to bette… love this story… and i hope they end up in bette’s bed before long… PPS

I really enjoy “your” tina – she will get bette where she wants her to be: by her side, in her life and in her bed hopefully very soon again.
