    Savannah

The blonde stirred in her bed. She woke with a startle, her eyes flying opened and closing shot almost immediately, assaulted by the bright light of the early morning sun.
She let out a swear word as she pulled the covers sharply over the top of her head. She had never been a morning person and the situation right now was not going to change her mind anytime soon.
The pounding in her head was so strong, she could have sworn,  people were playing drums a few feet away at the foot of her bed.
Muttering and cursing under her breath, her bad mood now firmly established, she turned around and realised that she was not alone in her bed.
Memories of the night before came flooding back. Too much beer in the comfort of Helena’s lounge and the glimpse of a perfect lookalike to the brunette she had met just barely a week ago had made short work of that itch that needed scratched.
If Jodie Lerner had not managed to attract the object of her interest at first, she was happy to settle for seconds for the time being. The blonde shook the sleeping bundle next to her.
The brown curly hair were scattered around the pillow covering the face of the woman whose features Jodie could not recall. It did not matter, she would not see her again.
"Hey…get up… You need to go." Jodie said probing the shape under the white covers. She had all but forgotten the woman’s name and was not going to make any attempt to try and remember it.
A whiny sleepy croaky voice responded, "Why, can I not stay a little bit longer?"
The irritation which was Jodie’s at this point already, increased exponentially in a matter of seconds.
"No!" came the sharp answer. "I am going to shower and by the time I come out, I want you gone." In Jodie’s eyes, there was nothing worse than a clingy one night stand. She took a disgusted look at the bewildered brunette and thought to herself, "You look nothing like her, what was I thinking?"
Half an hour later, the diminutive blonde stepped out of the bathroom, tired and in no better disposition.

    1. You are such an amazing writer..you always have the ability to bring me inside of the story as I if am there observing. Jodie is so slimey..poacher is the perfect job for her. Really great update..can’t wait for more!!

    2. Hey you… So great to be back! I wish I had had a Tina to take care of my own back these last few weeks, that is a sure fact!!!… Anyway, thanks for this chappy, partner, I love the fact that there is a vilain in this story. And what a vilain!! God, how worse could she get??… But I love it. Screw Jod… Oups, sorry for the bad language. I love the African context of this story. I know I will sound like a big softy romantic, but the savannah atmosphere makes great love stories! I love where this is going, and this is a fantastic story. Thanks for sharing. You know that already, but I was lkg fwd to you returning with a new long story. Thanks my friend! xxx Kw

    3. All I know is…is that if ‘Jodie the skanky ho’ messes with that elephant or our Bette and Tina ‘fledgling wannabe / soon to be’ romance…I’m gonnna come through the computer and kick her slimy ass myself! I love this story…thank you so much for the vision of our girls in such an original context…but at the same time keeping us familiar with the girls we know! I can hardly wait for more and I hope you come back soon!! Thank you!!

    4. I really don´t know what it is, but this story reminds me of an old John Wayne movie called Hatari. I don´t think there were any poachers in that film, but a rather flirty baby elephant. I really dislike this Jodie, but it´s such a great story, so a few more chapters and then she better go for a serious walkabout..

    5. Thanks for the update. Please let the injured elephant smell jodi and go crazy and stomp her arrogant ass to death. Hope Tina pushes jodi aside when she appears to get in Bette’s pants. And/or let Bette find out it was jodi that tried to kill the elephant and have her arrested and jailed for years for poaching. Killing her would be the next thing for the authorities to do to her. Just hate her. Thanks.

    6. i can’t wait for the next day either, and as for Jodi, I vote she gets either mauled by a lion or crushed by an elephant! Evil bitch! BTW I went to your page and read all of your stories, I finally found the time to do so, my favorite was “at first sight” very trippy very good! thank you!

    7. Hi Kins! Thanks for the update!! 20degrees is a lot of difference! Good luck for the adaptation ;-) thanks for spare your time to posting the updates :-) hmm.. I am counting on the elephants who is having a very good memory to take necessary action when he sees the assailants! Jodie alone already a disaster, now you put her with lots of money… Egomaniac with blood thirst attitude and not so bright brain.. Ugh!! I hope she’s not having more power as it will be a perfect disaster recipe >_< and Kins my friend.. somehow must admit that you joined the club already as you make Jodi the perfect villain in the story ;-p lol... So glad that you made boundary between her and Bette as I am sure Bette would not be attracted to her at all! Please let the certain nurse blonde and her have more exposure?! ;-) I am so looking forward to their Saturday too :-D

    8. Welcome back Kins! Thanks for the extra posts whilst you were on holiday. Hope you had a wonderful time away. I gotta tell you the opening of this chapter put me back on my heels! I initially mistook the blonde to be Tina. Clumsy reading on my part :S As always, looking forward to MORE! such a well written and enjoyable story.

    9. Beautiful update, thanks;Dwell, “the devil called Jodi” seems will not take Bette out of her head soon! but she make the story more interesting :)I’m looking forward for tomorrow too ;D

    10. Ah, ze plot thickens. If Jodi touches that elephant, I’m coming after her myself. ;-) Welcome back from holiday! (Weird for this usually silent reader to be leaving a first comment.)

    11. Thanks for the update. I never thought I could dislike Jodi more than I already did until now. I love Dainty’s idea of the elephant remembering Jodi and going postal on her…lol.I love the gentleness that Tina has with Bette. I think if Bette is ever going to open up to someone again it will take someone with patience and kindness like Tina.

    12. When you said the “Blonde” can’t remember last night event.. I thought It’s Tina? and Helena is with her?..I’m more worried… but it turns out it’s only Jodie. Man.. I’m relieve..but i’m afraid what is Jodie planning?.. Bet if Bette knew that Jodie is the one who’s responsible to that Elephant’s injury ..She will never forgive her.
