Looking Back Ch 2

All the others went in but she couldnt.  She couldnt leave her there alone she must go and see her.  She left her flat and went down few stairs to make sure he was really gone.  She rushed straight to her friend’s flat to find out what had happened to her.  The door was not locked so she entered fearing the worst.  She got in and saw her sprawled on the floor.  She was looking really terrible and in a bad way.  She got down to her knees and bent over her friend.

My god whats he done to you now?  The bastard I hate his guts.  Why do you let him do this to you babe, why?

Honey can you hear me.  Its me Candace.  Dont worry I am going to help you.  My god where is the phone babe?  Oh god, just hold on honey please hold on.  I am here, calm down.  I am not leaving you.

Candace ran to the phone and dialled the number with shaky hands.  She explained the situation and urged them to send an ambulance quickly.  The operator calmed her down and assured her that they would be with her as soon as they could, and that the paramedics were already on their way.  Candace thanked the woman on the other end of the phone and rushed back to her friend’s side.

She tried to get her off the floor but she couldnt.  Her friend was looking very terrible and was obviously in a lot of pain.  She was curled up and was holding her tummy.  Candace heard her say something but wasn’t sure what it was.  She bent closer yet and put her ear to her mouth.

Candy:  What is it honey?  What is the matter?

The baby..

The baby?  What baby?  What are you talking about?

Help me Candace please, help me.  I dont want to lose the baby.  I dont want to lose the baby.  Oh god its so painful Candace please tell them to save my baby.

Candace was really surprised now.  She didnt understand her friend.  She didnt notice anything different with her lately so what was she saying?

Candy:  Hold on honey, calm down. What are you trying to tell me?  Are you saying that you are pregnant girl?  Oh my god.  Are you really?  Dont worry.  Dont worry I am sure youll be alright.  Do you want me to tell the paramedics that?  They will take care of you and the baby.  Dont worry please.  How many months honey?  How far along are you?
