Planet Terror: Doctor, Doctor, I Feel Like I’m Dying
“Yeah, we know…” Bette said slowly. “I think we figured that out already. Ooooo–k, off we go.” She walked behind the others as Dylan and Alice and Lara bopped strangely up and down, diving and ducking unnecessarily through the hallway toward the outside world.
“Incidentally!” Alice shouted, spinning on her heel and addressing the group. “I had an ominous dream last night also!”
“What was it?” Catherine asked curiously. She had arrived at the front lobby ahead of them. Her arms were laden with homemade weapons that Bette and Helena hurried forward to take.
“I dreamt about my mother…” Alice said, picking up one of five specially rigged shotguns. Each one consisted of four double barrel shotguns strung together, just as Dylan had once used to get them out of trouble in the crazy doctor’s compound where Caiohme was born.
“What did you dream about your mother?” Helena prompted. Alice looked worried.
“I dreamt that I was getting ready for my prom, when my mother came in and started yelling ‘THEY’RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOU!’”
Everyone turned and stared at Alice at once.
“Well, it was frikin scary!” Alice said in her defense. “She called my breasts ‘dirty pillows’.”
“Sounds ominous.” Helena said dryly. “But haven’t you had that dream before?”
“Wait…” Bette stopped them just before leaving the hotel. The plane was nearly a hundred yards away, down a series of steps, and only a few meters from their helicopter. “If those things have weapons, they might try to keep us from leaving…” She had begun mumbling to herself, unsure of their next best move.
So far, all was quiet. The women stopped in ankle deep sand and listened to the wind coming off the ocean.
“We need to get to the roof.” Helena said to them. Bette started to disagree, but thought better of it. She nodded instead and they turned on their heels.
Once above, they jammed the door to the roof closed with a series of ill fitting metal pipes. Then they walked to the edge and looked down below into the faces of a dozen of the infected.
“Smart choice.” One of them said, his voice garbled but still recognizable.

See, I’m wary as hell now. What did those zombie things wake up? And that ghost story creeped me right out. How did they get the skin off them so fast? Peggy needs to hurry up and rescue them all, like, really fast. Cos I don’t like this new turn of events *at all*. …The make up sex was hot, tho. Cheers, hb. And need I say post soon?
If anybody could save these women, it would be Peggy Peabody, right? PPS
Carrie is one of my horror-movie faves, so needless to say I loved the shout-out. Trust Alice to ratchet up the tension with that gloriously hideous tale. I hope Peggy injects some humour (and hope) into the proceedings because things are looking bleak for the gang. At least the singing zombies didn’t interrupt that delicious bout of Belena make-up sex.
Oh nooooo .. that gloriously hideous tale was just gross hb! how am i *ever* going to sleep tonight now, you are sooooo mean …. *pouts* … hehe, seriously, loved it, i like the little references here and there to carrie and grindhouse, and peggy emerging on the scene is just great, she’ll fix everything i’m sure, … bit worried about Al and the others tho … *bites nails* … pppppppppppps :-D
Peggy Peabody to the rescue! Or is it just somebody wearing her lips and vocal cords? So a bit of hanky panky can save the day? I like their thinking. Almost as good as Alice providing a little distraction from the ongoing horror with a tale of horror featuring the names of celebritards. Dirty pillows, indeed!
