Planet Terror: Doctor, Doctor, I Feel Like I’m Dying

    Last Time on Planet Terror:

“They’re learning.” Pascal reminded her. Bette already knew this, and nodded. Pascal continued. “And you’re all that is left of the living. You, and those you find as this crisis comes to a close.”

“They will make cemetaries their cathedrals and the cities will be our tombs.” Bette murmured. Pascal smiled knowingly.

He leaned down and put his lips, cold and smelling of rotted wood, close to her ear

“Wake up.” He ordered. “They’re coming for you.”

Bette woke calmly. She could see the dim outline of Helena’s shoulders, sagging as she sat in front of her on the edge of the bed.

“I’m so sorry.” Bette said to her after a moment. “But there’s no time for apologies. We have to go.”

“Yes.” Helena agreed calmly. “But I’m afraid it’s altogether too late now.”

Outside, the sound of a plane approaching could be heard.

Within seconds, the craft had landed, and the engine was turned off.

Helena and Bette jumped into action, putting their weapons together and ensuring that their daughter was strapped safely to Helena’s back.

“Guys!” Alice arrived in the doorway of Bette and Helena’s room just as they had finished getting ready.

“Alice, we have to get back to the helicopter and get out of here.” Bette said calmly.

Alice looked around impatiently for the others while addressing Bette and Helena. “Yeah, I know…we just heard a plane land…just like Helena’s dream.”

Lara and Dylan came striding down the hallway, guns and ammo strapped on. For a few moments, Bette thought they were all characters in a dubbed movie.

    “What?” Bette asked confusedly.

Lara’s mouth seemed to be moving differently than it should.

“Bette!” Lara shook her shoulder and Bette gave a start.

“We have to get out of here.”

    “Did you hear me?”

    “We’re all in great danger!”

“BETTE!” Helena’s voice broke through the confusion.

“Oh, sorry…” she said confusedly. “I thought you were being dubbed badly for a moment there. Nevermind. Where’s Catherine?”

“Gathering random weapons.” Dylan replied. “We must leave now, before it’s too late!”

“Yes, we must leave!” Alice said, with equal melodrama.

    1. See, I’m wary as hell now. What did those zombie things wake up? And that ghost story creeped me right out. How did they get the skin off them so fast? Peggy needs to hurry up and rescue them all, like, really fast. Cos I don’t like this new turn of events *at all*. …The make up sex was hot, tho. Cheers, hb. And need I say post soon?

    2. Carrie is one of my horror-movie faves, so needless to say I loved the shout-out. Trust Alice to ratchet up the tension with that gloriously hideous tale. I hope Peggy injects some humour (and hope) into the proceedings because things are looking bleak for the gang. At least the singing zombies didn’t interrupt that delicious bout of Belena make-up sex.

    3. Oh nooooo .. that gloriously hideous tale was just gross hb! how am i *ever* going to sleep tonight now, you are sooooo mean …. *pouts* … hehe, seriously, loved it, i like the little references here and there to carrie and grindhouse, and peggy emerging on the scene is just great, she’ll fix everything i’m sure, … bit worried about Al and the others tho … *bites nails* … pppppppppppps :-D

    4. Peggy Peabody to the rescue! Or is it just somebody wearing her lips and vocal cords? So a bit of hanky panky can save the day? I like their thinking. Almost as good as Alice providing a little distraction from the ongoing horror with a tale of horror featuring the names of celebritards. Dirty pillows, indeed!
