    “I see…”, Bette could’ve sworn she heard a barely noticeable sigh of relief from Daniel but she didn’t show it. She knew Daniel worshipped the ground Christina walked on and she’ll always have his love and devotion. That knowledge alone gave Bette peace and comfort. She, on the other hand, needed Tina. She needed to see her, to hear her voice, to feel her touch.

    “Two more weeks…” Bette didn’t realize she spoke out loud until Daniel asked, “What?”

    “Oh, I will be leaving in about two weeks.”

    Daniel nodded with understanding. “Thank you,” he squeezed her shoulder gently as he left the room.

    Next time Bette went back to see Christina she found her all dressed up, sitting on top of already made bed. She was writing in her journal when she heard Bette walking in. “Elizabeth, come here, sit by me,” Christina stopped writing and smiled.

    “I have something I need to tell you,” she continued when Bette joined her on the bed.

    “Christina, if it’s about me staying, I have already…”

    “No, it’s not about that,” Christina interrupted and took Bette’s hand. “I understand your decision and, as much as I want you to stay, I’m not going to keep bringing it up or try to change your mind. It is what it is.”

    Christina placed her journal into Bette’s hands, “I want you to have this.”

    “I couldn’t possibly…” Bette was at a loss for words.

    “Please, Elizabeth, take it. I’m worried that here it might fall into the wrong hands and you can have something to remember me by when you go back to…what year was that again?”

    “2006,” Bette replied as she picked the journal up.

    “Wow…so far away, I still can’t believe it. I will be long gone by then and I want you to have something…from me. That’s all I ask.”

    Bette nodded and held the journal close to her chest. “I will cherish it forever.”

    Later that night Bette was in her father’s study, having her customary drink. She added the letter she wrote to Tina last night to the bottom of the stack, all ready to be tied up with the ribbon and hidden.

    Her eyes fell on the small brown diary she took with her at Christina’s insistence. She wanted to read it again so she could get deeper into Christina’s mind, to see what was driving her, what were her real feelings, and how she herself still felt about Christina. Bette opened the diary to the last page and read the words that Christina wrote before handing it to her.

      So, about the chapter – i must say i never like Helena. In some stories and TLW i hate her, in some stories i indifferent to her. In your story – first option.
      But i hope Bette was not too late and it was her in bed with Tina.

    2. O-M-G!! You made my day. Hell, my entire year. Wonderful update. Such imagination with the entire plot line. Great character arc for Bette. Love, love, love this story. So happy we’ll finally learn how it turns out. No pressure now, but I think a fitting day to post your final chapter is October 18, the 10th anniversary of Chapter 1.

      Wow, it was about time, I honestly was thinking to send you another pm as the last year, asking you for a new chapter; but is fine, I have problems with my time too, jobs are always in the way.

      As Zhenya, I also pray that the one beside Tina is Bette and no the psycho of Helena.

      I hope you could update soon, and write another story later, maybe a little bit shorter because of the time, but I really would like to read more of your stories, this is so good, please, keep writing.

      It is now the last day in August 9 days since you posted this Chapter.
      I have done a complete re-read and enjoyed it more, I think, than the first read. although, as a 75 year old, I am a little disturbed that all your Grandma characters seem to be in homes and losing their minds!

      Please, Please post the Final Chapter of this great story this weekend and make my day! Certainly do not wait until October – I love CellaNox but think this a stupid idea! :-)

      This is a great story and I will be sorry to see it end and will be first in line to ask for an Epilogue

    8. Great to see a new chapter of this wonderful story, I’m hoping Bette showed up in the knick of time kicked Helena’s ass and fell asleep waiting for the drug to wear off. They really don’t need this type of crap after all they have been through. PPS
