Out of Closet (TiBette time-travel romance), Ch. 67: Long road back home
The ringing of Tina’s cell phone was so unexpected in the quietness of the bedroom that they are both jumped. “It’s Franklin,” Tina saw the caller ID and put one hand on her chest, trying to calm her beating heart.
She put the phone on the speaker and Franklin’s voice filled the room, “I’m afraid I have some bad news, Tina.”
Tina slowly sunk down on top of the bed and said with calmness that she didn’t feel, “Let me guess, the letter was too damaged to read?”
Franklin sighed, “Yes and no. Technically, we didn’t have a chance to find out. Adam went to get an x-ray machine from another lab that was using it. He wanted to connect it to scanner to snap some images. He was gone for no more than five minutes.”
“What happened?” Tina asked impatiently.
“He must’ve hit the table as he maneuvered machine into the room. There was an opened bottle of bleach that was knocked over and spilled everywhere. It was full-strength bleach and the letter was practically disintegrated. I’m so sorry, Tina.”
Tina hung up and buried her face in her hands. “Why is this happening to me?”
Alice shook her head and said softly, “I don’t know but this is not the end. Letter-shmetter…Bette is coming back, you have to stop doubting it. Let’s go have some more wine.”
They were back in the kitchen and Tina put her head on the table, unable to stop crying. Alice grabbed the envelope that was left on the table and was turning it in her hand absently, thinking of the ways to comfort her friend. This is when she noticed a small drawing of the butterfly. She blinked to make sure she didn’t imagine it and saw the small writing on the bottom.
“Tee, I think I found something else.”
Tina lifted her head and wiped her tears, “What did you find?”
“Looks like Bette left you another clue,” Alice smiled and showed Tina the drawing.
“The butterfly symbol that opens something?” Tina asked, staring at the envelope.
“Looks like it’s another treasure hunt,” Alice sounded excited, which only made Tina angrier.
“So she is having fun while I’m here suffering and worrying?”
“I don’t see it that way. Maybe there’s another clue there.” Alice didn’t take offense to Tina’s frustration. “You only have a few days before the 19th. Let’s figure out where we can find this butterfly.”

Hi! Thank you for your decision to continue and finish this story!
So, about the chapter – i must say i never like Helena. In some stories and TLW i hate her, in some stories i indifferent to her. In your story – first option.
But i hope Bette was not too late and it was her in bed with Tina.
Waiting for the final chapter!
O-M-G!! You made my day. Hell, my entire year. Wonderful update. Such imagination with the entire plot line. Great character arc for Bette. Love, love, love this story. So happy we’ll finally learn how it turns out. No pressure now, but I think a fitting day to post your final chapter is October 18, the 10th anniversary of Chapter 1.
BetteAndTinaForever
Wow, it was about time, I honestly was thinking to send you another pm as the last year, asking you for a new chapter; but is fine, I have problems with my time too, jobs are always in the way.
As Zhenya, I also pray that the one beside Tina is Bette and no the psycho of Helena.
I hope you could update soon, and write another story later, maybe a little bit shorter because of the time, but I really would like to read more of your stories, this is so good, please, keep writing.
Thanks for the update and again, please post soon.

Finally!!! It does not matter to wait a year to read this story because they are so good that it’s worth it, but please finish it before I’m dying to know the end (an ending that many pages). Congratulations and thanks.
what an exciting chapter!! can’t wait for the next!!!
thank you!!!
BetteandTinaForever,
It is now the last day in August 9 days since you posted this Chapter.
I have done a complete re-read and enjoyed it more, I think, than the first read. although, as a 75 year old, I am a little disturbed that all your Grandma characters seem to be in homes and losing their minds!
Please, Please post the Final Chapter of this great story this weekend and make my day! Certainly do not wait until October – I love CellaNox but think this a stupid idea! :-)
This is a great story and I will be sorry to see it end and will be first in line to ask for an Epilogue
Living in hope

I agree with SassyGran – if you can – don’t wait until October to post last chapter!
Great to see a new chapter of this wonderful story, I’m hoping Bette showed up in the knick of time kicked Helena’s ass and fell asleep waiting for the drug to wear off. They really don’t need this type of crap after all they have been through. PPS
You are not forgetting about us, aren’t you? Please, finish this great story!
Hi! Still waiting for the last chapter!
