    Chapter 11 – B&T beginning

     

    “Look Bette what I am going to say might hurt a bit but I have no other way of explaining this to you… so here it goes… stop being a fucking idiot and go for it!” Alice said loudly.

     

    “Can you just be serious for a second here? Really, how many times do I actually call you to discuss my love life? And that’s all you have to say to me?” Bette said aggravated.

     

    “Hell yeah!… Listen you gotta take this opportunity. The truth is that: there’s no truth. There’s no safe bet… Caroline was gay and she broke your heart, so please don’t turn your back on something that has all the potential just because you’re scared. You cannot try to predict how it’s gonna end before it even begins. And I cannot believe I’m gonna say this but… be yourself and if she likes what she sees and understands that that’s all she’s gonna get… then she’ll stick around, trust me” Alice said trying to sound wise for once.

     

    In a weird way Alice’s words did make sense to the brunette. She just had to let go and see where this may lead her to.

     

    “I guess you’re right, I have to take the chance there’s no other way to find out… thanks Al, you’re a good friend” Bette said sincerely.

     

    “GO PORTER! It’s your birthdaaayyy!… By the way do you think I stand a chance with Laurel?” Alice replied.

     

    “Oh my god, when are you gonna grow up?!” Bette said back to being exasperated.

     

    Morning came and Bette was first in the kitchen as usual, but this time earlier than she usually did. She was having a coffee and staring at the list of things to do for brunch when she heard someone knocking on the kitchen door. She quickly went to check who that could possibly be since it was really early to have guests wondering around. The brunette was greatly surprised to see a certain beautiful blonde standing shyly at the entrance of her kitchen.

     

    “Good morning Tina” Bette greeted the blonde with that million dollar smile of hers.

     

    “Good morning Chef Porter” The blonde sweetly replied melting and she shortened the distance between them, planting a soft kiss on the brunette’s lips.

    31. I have always enjoyed strawberry sauce on my pancakes. I feel for Laurel, but I have funny feeling that this will not be the end of her pursuit of Bette. I loved Alice advice to Bette.
